We went for my birthday. The food is amazing. Big statement. The prawn and lobster pasta was the best I’ve ever had and I’ve been all over Italy. The sticky date pudding was also right up there. The whole table was happy with everything that...came out of the Kitchen. The staff make you feel like family coming home for a meal and the decor just adds to that feelingMore

Look past the exterior. The food is why people make the effort to come here! Just like what other reviewers have said! Everything we tried was delicious! The spaghetti marina is the best I have had so far in my life!!! So much heart and...soul in this dish. Proper fresh not frozen seafood, the right balance of wine, tangy tomatoes, the right amount of pepperiness...the complimentary bread and butter was a nice touch too to mop up all that delicious sauce! Kids loved the spaghetti bolognese too so much flavour! So excited to have a decent place to go to carb load before a big bike ride! Looking forward to coming back for their seafood nights!!More

Let me begin by saying if there was a rating higher than 5 this place would have got it. The place is simple but authentic, when you walk in there it’s a step back in time, but who cares, from the moment you sit down...and start eating you don’t even notice anymore. Being Italian, eating Italian other than from home, very hard to please! But this place has gone beyond our expectations. Started off with, the calamari and Gatling prawns for entree......WOW!!! Main course we had Franco’s Special and Veal Scallopine....... Double WOW!!!! Folks get yourselves down there and step back in time..... to the way it used to be done. Love, love, love this place....will be back real soon Thanks Franco and the gang!More

The meals we had were Osso Bucco and Fettuccine Boscaiola. Both were delicious. My husband said the vegetables were some of the best he has ever tasted. Meat beautifully tender. Pasta was extremely tasty. Reasonable selection of wine by glass or bottle plus beers and...cider. Reasonable prices. Nice atmosphere. Franco has been there for 29 years so must be doing something right. Highly recommendedMore

Home style food. Interesting recipe. Loved the aglio olio. Desserts were the pick of the meal. Will go there again

This restaurant has been around for 28 years and run by husband and wife and family. There is a menu with a good range of dishes and a board menu mostly with seafood dishes. We were a party of four and had the BBQ octopus...whichwas very tender and tasty, calamari with a light coating and cooked well, and cozze in a delicious tomato broth. The pasta boscaiola had mushrooms in a delicious sauce. The BBQ prawns and scallops and the Franco special was a scotch fillet with five very large whole prawns and seasonal veges. All was enjoyed so highly recommend.More

Had a beautiful dinner at Da Franco, everything was cooked perfectly and tasted divine. Loved the chilli oil! Would recommend to eat here definitely worth the money.

Magical night. We trekked across Sydney on the hope that the slightly quirkly reviews guarded some sort of secret. Not disappointed. This is simple Italian food at its best and the people who run this place are worth meeting. One of the highlights though came...several days later when an item of personal belonging which had been left behind inadvertently at the restaurant was returned by post. Thanks to staff n management. See you again soon. TomMore
