Fantastic Sunday lunch in the sun. Great service and the food was truly fantastic, perfectly cooked and stunning flavours. I can't wait to return. A little jewel I suspect many will drive on by!

The menu has a good choice including the usual burgers, pizza, grill type food but I had the vegetarian grape leaves with mushrooms and tomato with Parmesan cheese which came with a salad and pitta bread so was a nice size portion and reasonably priced. It was a quiet Tuesday night and only one other table booked but I understand... More

Tables not cleaned; chairs with fabric dirty & stained; toilets with paper & tissues on the floor (both prior & after the meal). no warning of step when coming out of the cubicle---I tripped! Food. The gravy with the coq au vin had an odd taste even with the wine added--similar to ketchup or bisto. The Eton mess had a... More

Just had an excellent meal at The Sandstone. Although busy, the service was good and we were made to feel very welcome. The food is delicious especially the Sunday roasts. Big plateful of deliciousness. Excellent sticky toffee pudding. We will definitely be visiting again.

Well I was at the same even as the review below and my review couldn't be more different. I couldn't fault the night. Prosecco on arrival, and wine through out the night. The food was amazing. Visiting my parents this weekend, told we were going for 4 courses with different wine with each course for 25 quid. Reality check, wine with nibbles. Having recently done a 'faulty towers experience' in London I can see the funny side. However, the food was minimal and whilst they tried to give us slightly more and keep us happy we... More

We decided to take a drive out for Sunday lunch, when we arrived we were given a warm welcome and offered one of two tables, we decided to sit by the woodburner. The atmosphere was really nice and what you would expect from a well run country pub, the inside is clean and homely. We both decided to order sunday... More

Discovered this place a couple of weeks ago when looking for a dog friendly pub. Now fast becoming one of my favourite places. Gorgeous food, friendly staff and lovely cider!! Would highly recommend The Sandstone.
