I met my friend here as it is part way between both our houses. It was a week day evening and pretty quiet but we had a really friendly welcome from the young lady behind the bar. Her pleasant manner continued throughout the evening. She took our orders and waited on table and we found her really friendly and efficient.... More

Myself and two friends met here today for our pre-Christmas get-together. We have all been to the Red Lion in the past but today's meal was exceptional. Two of us had a starter of tempura prawns with sweet chili sauce and the third member had the home made tomato and basil soup. We were all very happy with our food.... More

Lovely surroundings and helpful staff. Very reasonable Christmas menu – cheese board is a meal in itself!!.

There are not enough words in my stunted Australian vocabulary to express my gratitude to Andy and Lesley at the Red Lion. They happily came to our rescue after we were left stranded by our rental car company. The service was amazing as was the local IPA on tap. They provided us with shelter, allowed us to recharge our phones... More

Reasonable range of starters, all tasty & enjoyable, the brie was very popular. Mains were also good, tasty and good helpings. Puddings were also enjoyed, the shared cheese board was popular, the local ice cream excellent for a light pudding.. Good beer and wine with attentive service. Particularly pleasing was that the person who needs gluten free food had a... More

The Red Lion was our evening drink and our dinner. Felt like a good representation of an English bar restaurant. The Pub was really popular on the night we went but we didn,t have to wait too long for our meal. If you are in the area its worth a trip.
