Visited when we were staying in Box at the suggestion of our B&B. Well worth a walk, great location and view from inside the pub. Good, short menu with well executed pub fare (no salads here!) staff was friendly and seemed like a true local...More

I stopped for a beer at this lovely pub. I'd been there before but many years ago. I'd forgotten how picturesque the pub is, and it also serves wonderful beer. We didn't stop for food but we'll be back.More

A proper country pub with straightforward menu at good prices. Staff were first-class, as was the food. The beer is kept perfectly, too. It was our first visit there, having discovered it on TripAdvisor. It was difficult to find, but now we've been there once...More

Groups of ten booked for Sunday Lunch, quotes from some of our group”worst meal I have ever had” won’t becoming here again, uneatable. People that opted for Sunday were very disappointed. Will not be returning. Staff not interested when complaining.More

Close to our holiday accommodation. Food was good with a large choice. Had two evening meals and one breakfast could not find fault. Provided high chair for our grandchild. Great friendly service. Decor old but added to the charm.More

Good morning, Thank you kindly for the review. We insist on remaining a traditional Old English pub as there are so few left these days and we're glad to hear that the effort that the team puts in is well received. Many thanks,
