The Miners Arms is a traditional village pub with beamed ceiling draped with mugs, jugs and miners' lamps. We went there because it was dog friendly and it really was - biscuits for the dog! There was a really good menu with a wide range of choices. The food was excellent and the service friendly. This is not a pub... More

Came across this pub by chance with my family and I cannot fault it! The staff are very friendly and welcoming and there is a great atmosphere. The food was delicious and the portions were good sizes for the price! The puddings were on the next level! Absolutely amazing!! Cannot recommend enough!

Came for Friday lunch. Service excellent- served quickly and with friendly approach. Had pigeon Wellington starter very tasty and a bit different. Then had chicken korma pie as it was pie week. Can't fault the creativity but didn't quite work for me with too much onion and slightly soggy pastry. Good try though. Dessert was panna cotta which was lovely.... More

Wanted a nice country pub that would allow dogs. Surprise visit to daughter at university and take her out for a much needed Roast Dinner It didn't let us down. Choice of meat Roast beef melting in the mouth and Yorkshire puddings almost as big as the plate. Tasted fantastic not mass produced Even the dogs were treated to a... More

When we were travelling nearby, my family and I wanted to find somewhere for Sunday lunch. We phoned to book a table, at short notice, and were delighted to hear that they were able to accommodate us. When we arrived the inn was busy, but we received a warm welcome and were shown to a table with good views over... More

We enjoyed a delicious family lunch on Sunday. We sat next to a warming, open fire and were delighted our dog was allowed in too. Delicious burgers! Very reasonable prices. Great staff and service. We will return.

We've visited the Miners Arms for many years and booked it for our Ruby Anniversary, but we became concerned with recent TA's reviews. However, we met a few weeks ago with staff to discuss our concerns and they recognised already there had to be changes which are now in place and we had an excellent celebration with everything, it was... This was an enjoyable lunch with good service. Not rushed at all and plenty of choice on the menu. Very nice room with good views, plenty of parking, good wine and beers.

We visited the Miners on 11th February for my birthday. There was 19 of us in total, 5 of which were children. We pre-ordered the food for ease and it worked really well. The food was good and the staff couldn't do enough for us. We will definitely be going back.

Been here a few times over the last year for catch up's with friends, visits for a weekend tipple with my husband and a pitstop for a pint during a walk with my dog. Each occasion has been pleasant and enjoyable. Regularly my friend brings her two children who enjoy using the garden and park facilities. The children's meals are... More
