We had made a reservation 2 weeks in advance for a birthday with a special needs vegan guest. The food was excellent and plenty full. Prices were average and the staff was very friendly. We enjoyed the picturesque view of the river and harbor. This may be the best restaurant in town and we will return.

Dierks is part of the Hotel Hafen Hitzacker where we stayed, so we had our breakfast here. Great breakfast buffet. The first night though we had dinner here as well. We cannot recommend this. We both had fish dishes. The fish was very dry. The vegetables were clearly warmed up in the microwave.

We recently stopped over at Hitzacker on our way to the North Eastern German islands and spent a very pleasant evening at Dierks restaurant. The weather was superb allowing us to enjoy our typical German style evening meal ouside on the terrace in this "harbour" area of the village. I can recommend the fried plaice served with tasty fried potatoes.... More

We had 2 meals at this restaurant and enjoyed some of orginal dishes offered. The breakfast buffet was fine too. As the weather was cold and rainy some customer were smoking at the entrance to the restaurant.

This is the restaurant of the Hotel Hafen Hitzacker and appears to be the most popular in town! It served food all day....or just tea and cake in the afternoon if that was all you required! The menu WAS a little limited BUT the food was excellent! Always hot and ALWAYS large! I am NOT complaining! The staff knew more... More
