After the closing of the Englishtown ferry during the summer Moe relocated to the Baddeck waterfront. We were happy to find him there as we love his fish and chips and wish him the best at his new location

Captain Capers was worth the trip from Toronto. The fish and chips were top notch! The curry tartar sauce is also a real treat. To top it all off Moe is funny, friendly and a great local presence. Highly reccomended!

The place is small and set off about 50 ft from the banks of the St Patrick Channel in Baddeck. Very charming, Moe (the owner) is friendly and very gracious. The food, simply, Da Bess! You gotta try it, you won’t be disappointed.

We ate at the Captain Caper's wagon while it was parked in Baddeck. Learned a lot about the area's history from Moe, the owner, cook, and host. Excellent fresh fish (haddock) and fresh-cut fries.
