The food is was lovely, waitress very friendly and helpful, highly recommend the Stilton and peppercorn sauce, as from the other reviews portion size is great. Only reason for a 4 not a 5 is our steaks were given the wrong way around and it would have been nice to have a little salad or peas with the rump steak.... More

Came here for a meal in Feb, and had eaten here semi-regularly before (whilst the place was under different management). The food has taken a nose-dive and was ok for pub food, but nothing special and a bit steep for the quality. Portion size was very fair though! Staff were quite rude and the woman (possibly owner/manageress?) didn't bother with... More

As you supposedly regularly ate here you should know that we have owned the pub for 4 years? As this review is 4 months since you last " visited" maybe... More

What fab meals. Served boiling hot, and very generous portions. The barman and waitress were excellent (sorry can't remember thier names but they will know who they are). Clean and comfortable surroundings.

Found this hidden gem when staying at the nearby Travelodge. Excellent food and friendly service. Portions are generous and sourced locally produced fresh products.

My husband and I ate here recently, its a typical welsh pub, oldy worldy, we had a sharing fish platter to start which was nice, mains were a little disappointing, my husbands lamb burger was dry lacked any relish or onion and was not served in a burger bun but italian style bread like chiapta which was dry so he... My partner and I stopped at the Vaynol Arms enroute to our hotel. As the hotel was in a remote location I did some research first as to where we might stop on the way and thanks to trip advisor I found the Vaynol Arms. The pub is traditional in décor and the food menu includes plenty of variety and... More

After reading previous reviews we decided to visit the Vaynol Arms. I was very pleased with the food and service. We all had a variety of starters. My wife had the whitebait which was excellent and more than enough to share. There was a wide choice of mains from the menu and also the daily specials. I had a Chicken,... More
