Unfortunately we didn't even get in past the front door! We had made a reservation for 8-8:15pm and my husband was informed at the time of booking not to be late.. We arrived at 8:20pm . Greeted at the door by what must have been the owner (anyone employee with that kind of attitude would not have lasted 5 minutes... More

Food was good but lacked originality. Good service. Wine list lacked vintages and was not up to date. Like I said, voute is better for the same price.

Dear rye726, thanks for you honesty even if we would rather read the opposite ! It's your tastes and we respect that. Why not come back one of these days to give us the chance to be best in your eyes ? :+) Best regards. More

Ate here with friends and had a delicious meal and fab bottle of wine. The owner let us in 15 minutes before the restaurant opened and made us very welcome. I had tuna carpaccio with a lovely fresh salad - I'm still thinking about how good it was days later! Service was excellent, attentive but not in your face. We... More

On a recomendation of acresident we ate here. The food & ambience was satisfactory but we felt the prices to be excessive & that we could have eaten as well elsewhere for a more reasonable charge.

A wonderful little restaurant tucked away in the back streets of Moutiers. A Vietnamese chef and his French wife. Superb food at the most reasonable prices. A superb venue while waiting for the late night snow train back to London!

Last year I had a lovely dinner at the "Le Coq Rouge". Sincerely, it worth at least 2 forks. I have promised myself to make another visit ASAP. So on April 2014, on my way to Courchevel, I planned to be there for lunch. The waitress highly praised the "Plate de jour" - a baked chicken with herbs, but I... More

It's a few years since we ate at this cute little restaurant on one of the tiny streets not too far from the river running through the Savoie town of Moutiers. The food was excellent and with delightful presentation of the food on baking hot plates was as delicious as it looked. I chose the dish of the day, and... More

We have visited Coq Rouge a good number of times when in Moutiers for market day. We ate lunch there again yesterday and went for one of their good set menus - the 55 euros one on this occasion. The food was excellent - the pigeon in particular was really delicious, and was all at michelin standard. With a bottle... More

A very nice and typical place where you will find good French food and wines. The Riz de Veau and the dessert were great. The list of wines is of good quality/price ratio but if you only wish a glass you will have to choose between a red, a white and a rosé.

We went on the back of the reviews but were hesitant because of the pictures and when arriving doesn't look very much. Once inside you are pleasantly surprised. It is a beautiful cosy quirky restaurant full of art and treasures. The chef is also an artist and his wife his wife is front of house. She spoke excellent English to... More
