My wife and I were staying at the lodge and we decided to eat in the main dining room on one of our three nights. My wife opted for Cornish chicken served on a bed of red cabbage with blackberries and roasted potatoes (it said fondant potatoes on the menu). She didn’t enjoy it very much. I had pappardelle with braised lamb shank which was delicious - a memorable pasta dish. We finished off with white chocolate truffles in a grapefruit sauce and lemon posset, both of which were fine. Our novice server was very gushing with lots of ‘awesomes’ and ‘for sures’. The dining room only had three of the multitude of tables in use whilst we were dining so there was very little in the way of atmosphere - it should be different when there are more guests staying here.

2 couples for a reserved dinner. Nicole was an excellent server but one meal was $60 filet. Tough and overdone! Scallops come with pork belly and no sides.
Flank steak and fries was good but still chewy. Noodle bowl way overdressed.
Manager via waitress did offer free desert to compensate for poor meat.
This is a very expensive menu touted to be gourmet. But falls short. We should have eaten off the bar menu and had a burger !
Being a "remote" lodge is no excuse.

The resort is beautiful — clean, well maintained and with lots of attention to detail. A really beautiful spot. Our food has been
hit and miss - some fantastic dishes
and some average. However, it was the restaurant service that was notable - there was not a meal that did not have a significant mix up, delay or error by the dining room staff. While lovely, the staff are not trained or supervised which allows for mishaps.

It’s a beautiful building but extremely inattentive service staff. The food was sub par with premium prices and our waiter advised the chef was unwilling to make adjustments. Everyone in the restaurant was upset with the exceedingly slow service.

Quinoa crusted trout came to me as JUST a plain over cooked piece of fish, NOT a grain of quinoa to be found on the plate when I asked the server about it he told me that it was “a quinoa dry rub “, a quinoa dry rub? Then, the chef came to the table and explained that quinoa crusted trout “was a play on words” and that the quinoa in this plate was actually a small cracker on the side that could have just as easily been wheat or sesame because, again, you could not see or taste a grain of quinoa! Extremely disappointing that a chef would lie on their menu and defend it as a play on words! Over cooked « play on words » trout for 32$ is quite insulting.
My family had the « maple chilli » chicken breast and where disappointed as well with it’s simplicity, lack of taste and under cooked Brussel sprouts .
On top of all this the children running and dodging through the tables in swim suits to get to the pool wasn’t really the ambiance we wanted during our expensive 9pm dinner.
As well, our Chablis (white wine) showed up to our table warm and took half an hour to cool down. White wine should not be stored at the same temperature as red wines.
Our waiter Brad, was kind and apologetic and we did receive half off our entrées, but we will not be dining here again for the remainder of our stay at the lodge.
I would be willing to spend the appropriate amount on good quality food that is an accurate portrayal of the menu .
I hope the chef adjusts the menu and it’s price tags to better reflect the food they actually serve.

Dining in this world-class log building with views of the channel and Georgian Bay was an absolute delight. My husband had the halibut and he loved the taste, presentation, and explosion of colour on his plate. I had the cauliflower risotto and it was a generous portion and incredibly tasty. Even if the food wasn't great per the other reviewer (can't even imagine that happening), dining in this atmosphere would have been totally worth it. We applaud the owner's commitment to bringing a world-class experience to the Canadian wilderness and elevating the town of Killarney.

We love this place. Came with friends to have a good time and it did not disappoint. We tried hard to get reservations anywhere as we were kind of last minute and stumbled on the lodge. The water was beautiful! We loved that bikes and kayaks and paddle boards were all included in our stay. The staff couldn’t have been kinder. We spent one night at the carousel and loved it! If you go, make sure you ask for Tyler! He was such a good time and made us feel so at home and welcome..and made the best drinks when we asked him to surprise us.
Thanks for a great time, Killarney! We’ll be back for sure.

We had the lunch at Killarney Mountain Lodge during our visit to Killarney Provincial Park. It was a delicious Fish and Chips and a salad. Great food and great service. The staff is very friendly and courteous. After lunch we walked around the hotel for the beautiful views and to have a peek inside their new venue Canada House. They have installed the World's biggest Paddle in their garden and you can take a photograph in front of it. During the next visit to Killarney hope to stay a few days in this hotel.

Had a wonderful 2 night stay! Room was cozy & very clean and a comfortable mattress made for a good nights rest! Fantastic breakfast on the restaurant patio with that view! Loved the breakfast wrap with avocado, preferred it both mornings! Getting out on the water was a real treat too! A beautiful spot to relax & recharge.

My husband and I recently stayed here this past September for 4 days and thoroughly enjoyed it! Scenic, quiet and the meals and staff are amazing! Several hikes and local parks nearby as well. NO TV's or Phones in the room and there are stairs to get up to Covered Portage Suite Rooms. The Rooms in that section are large and spacious and the beds comfy. They DO NOT Clean your room due to COVID. All in All a great spot!

My husband and I visited KML for 2 nights for a kayaking and hiking get away. Although the location and views were wonderful our accommodation was severely lacking. Our room did not have a TV, wifi, microwave, coffee maker or kettle. It did have a fridge. Great for leftovers but you will not be able to heat them up later. The bed was right against windows that were not able to open and the loud AC. The shower was very small and it was nearly impossible to shave your legs. I'm glad we were out enjoying the park and only used the room to clean up and sleep in, that's about all it's good for. It was very pricey considering that.

I was there for a wedding and I was appalled with their customer service for the 'happy couple'. They went their wedding cup cakes to another wedding party held the same day, didn't know who they were when they arrived and gave the fire pit to someone else, even though they booked it for their friends. As a guest, they didn't want to let anyone use their irons to press your dress and my room not only didn't have a tv, wifi, fridge but I had to share the washroom with the entire building!!!!! I paid $150 for that room and if you compare that to any hotel in Toronto, you would get everything.
If this resort wants to play with the big boys and charge $500/night if you want a washroom, the service better match it!!! I will NEVER!!! return!!!
It's a shame because the place is beautiful but the staff are not trained and they really need to get their sh***t together!

The hotel and room experience are exceptional. The food experience here is just missing a beat with everything and we tried most everything. KML needs to invest big time in food like they did with the hotel.

This was my second stay at the Killarney Mountain Lodge. Last October it was amazing (but I never did write up a review). This time - September 2021 was even better than last year, and exceeded my expectations. I was here to run a 4 day Hiking-Yoga Retreat. The feedback I received from my participants was exactly how I felt - "Everything was perfect"! The food was delicious, the grounds and surrounding hikes were spectacular. We used the free kayaks (there are also free canoes, paddle boards & bikes for your usage). We swam in the lake (yes it was cold, but refreshing), and used the sauna. we swam in the pool and attended wine tasting. The outdoor fish fry was fun & tasty. The Granite Ridge Room was beautiful & perfect for the yoga classes (with a sensational view of the bay). The weather was so nice, we also used the well manicured lawn for an outdoor yoga class. The staff and management went above & beyond to make everything perfect for everyone. We will be back next September - Thank you Killarney Mountain Lodge for a magical experience!
