Nice spot for breakfast in Sorrento. Waitress was friendly and service was fast. Eggs were all cooked as ordered and the bacon tasted freshly cooked. You know when you can taste pre cooked bacon that was thrown down to warm up. Small place.

New Ownership and Menu - It's PUB Grub

Easy access off the Trans Canada. Went for supper on a busy Saturday night. New ownership is trying to be a pub grub place. Two in our party had the Chicken Quesadilla and said it was fine. My burger was just average - too much filler or it was just not that great meat. Side Caesar Salad was fine. Good selection of beers. Service was very good. We ate on the quiet patio. Inside was having a good time with live music. If I travel this way next year I'd give it a second chance.

New mgmt is not raising any bars

Went to this pub first time for the patio view of the lake but the ambiance was sad. End of May and they still have last years dead plants on the deck. Tables are food stain as not stained or sealed. Went for Wing Weds but waitress was not well trained and could not answer any of menu questions including what the Wing deal was other than it shouldbe cheaper...when I got the bill, regular price was listed. Questioned her about it and gave 20% off $19 lb of wings as manager was not around. Food tasted good but first impressions are everything.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. like many people in small towns right now, we have definitely been struggling to get staff. there is a very high turn around right now and training is not like it is in the big cities where you have 50 resumes waiting for the next person to screw up. we do the best we can with what we have. as you said. our food was good. i believe that is a very important part of your dining experience. i believe you also would agree the presentation of the food was good also. i had to check the date of this review as we have planted flowers in all our flower pots as we always do june first. my apologies that you feel we should have done them sooner however you will really enjoy our patios atmosphere should you return. the table stain situation is regrettable. we are working on re finishing them currently and i do appreciate this comment as it has motivated us to fix this issue asap. hopefully when you return through here we can give you the experience you were expecting. have a great day!

You need to be a local regular to get decent service

Really poor service. We came in for lunch. There was one waitress and maybe two tables already seated. We waited about 10 minutes for a table and then another 15 before the waitress brought us our menus. After we were seated, a bunch of local regulars came in, chatted up the waitress, got seated with menus and ordered before we even got our menus. Once we got our menus, it was another 15 minutes before the waitress took our order because she was chatting with the local group. Our food did come up fairly quickly after she bothered to take our order. The food was okay but nothing special. What was really frustrating was that one of the two tables already seated with food turned out to be one of the owners. He was paying no attention to the lack of service given by the waitress. BTW we are locals as well but are not regulars.

I was passing by here on a Friday for lunch while visiting some friends. I had fish and chips since that's the daily special there. The battered fish was really greasy and tasteless and the fries weren't any better either. I did not like the attitude the waitress was giving me, like she didn't like being there. The place really looks gaudy worn-down and disgusting on the inside and out. The country music was really annoying to listen while I was sitting there the whole time. The owner should be ashamed for how he run that pub. In other words, not coming back. I hope that place goes out of business.

My husband and I are on vacation in Sorrento from England, staying with my cousin. We had had pancakes and coffee for breakfast, the pancakes were delicious and a good choice of preserves along with cream and mixed berries. The waitress was very friendly and the atmosphere nice. Do not be put off by the negative reviews!

To start. Asked the waitress what hoppy beers they had. She had no idea what I was talking about. I ordered a tequila. She didn't ask what kind. Got a good-looking half quart of ice. So little bad tequila in it that I could barely suck anything through a straw. My wife ordered a diet coke. She got a small glass totally filled with ice with dead flat cola of some kind. literally maybe a couple of ounces of cola. A can would be 10 times better. Ordered wings. We got 8 drumettes for 18$. supposed to be peanut sauce. It tasted like it was weakened 5 to one with milk. Didn't seem deep fried. Baked maybe. It was inedible. I was so looking forward to seeing this place succeed. They are doing good things but this was disgusting. The waitress was nice but really needs some spirit training. If the owner wants to discuss anything, I'm in . I just want to see you do better.

Hello Dale, This is a very surprising review. We pride ourselves on having the best wings in the area and that's confirmed by almost everyone who eats them. i would ask that you come on in and give us another go as we literally have the best wings I've ever tasted so this must have been a fluke. hopefully we can satisfy your cravings next time around. the peanut sauce was just launched in September when this review was left, so we were still experimenting with it. i believe we have nailed the taste now :) we have dramatically improved out tequila selection. we have 6 types of tequila including Dwayne the rock Johnson's Teremana and the ever popular Agavero, and many other tasty options! i encourage you to give them another try and you wont be disappointed. all in all we do apologize for your underwhelming experience at our pub and i would love for you to give us another chance to give you the great service and quality of food you deserve. I came for pasta Thursday to have their alfredo fettuccini and it was tasteless. The place looks filthy and abandoned. I didn't like the people working there. I felt embarrassed eating here.

Copper Island Pub

This is a pub worth visiting. It is small and intimate. There are specials every day. I especially recommend Friday night's fish and chips. Friendly staff and an enjoyable small town experience.

Great patio views and food
