As tradition demand on a Thursday we get together with friends at Laragne Market. We always try when possible to arrange a visit to this great little restaurant. Amazing food, great quality and innovative. I especially like the way we are received. The market menu...is excellent value and you will not be dissapointed.More

The owners gained a lot of experience after many years in a Michelin 2 star restaurant, in the region but close to Manosque. They have brought these skills to Laragne and adapted them for a more accessibly priced menu. Reservation is a must.

Previous reviews have rated this very highly and we have to agree. Fare is seasonally based and prepared, plated and served to perfection. It is only a small restaurant in a village, but is a classic example of what can happen when a visitor has...done some homework and acted on the decision to venture out of town. This is a must visit restaurant when in the region. You must book to ensure a table will be available.More

The menu has some really nice food also some undistinguished desserts. The wine offered to us was of a different year then shown on the menu. And the waitress, although very efficient, rushed us through the menu. All in all not a very good experience

For 29 euro plus wine you get perfection. The quality and presentation of the food is superb. Service is efficient and friendly. A small example of this is being told in what order to eat the three pieces of cheese. Another example are the little..."amuse-bouches". The menu is quite small, but this shows that it is all fresh produce which is only cooked when ordered. Inevitably you ask everyone else about their choices. My four friends were all very pleased.More

Love going to this restaurant on a Thursday (market day) to sample excellent cuisine at a very affordable price. Mind you make sure to book a table before going. The food yesterday was just perfect, a cold tomato soup which tasted just great, a type...of gaspatcho but better, followed by some stuffed courgettes and the most delicious chocolate pudding. We were seven of us and with aperitif and wine the bill was less than 25 euros per head. The lady at the front of the house was welcoming and I just love the presentation of the various dishes.More

We are a family of 5 who had been recommended this restaurant by friends who live nearby. It didn't disappoint. Our 2 teenage sons loved it as did the adults. We were extremely impressed by the lady who served front of house. The restaurant was...busy but she managed to serve all the tables with ease and grace without any signs of being flustered. The food was magnificent. We will definitely return next year on our holidays.More

Our annual trip to this restaurant has always been a highlight and this year was no different. Other similarly priced restaurants in the area are very good indeed, but L'Araignee Gourmande shows how to do it even better. The menu we chose was 28 euro...plus wine and coffee. Both the flavour and the presentation of the food could not be improved. The entree (for Americans, that is the starter) was an amazing arrangement of vegetables and mousse, the tender pork medallions came with a delicious dark sauce, the three cheese portions had delicate flavours and the creme brulee tasted of vanilla. You might have expected Mondays to be the quietest day of the week, but this evening the restaurant was full. Somehow Michaela managed single-handedly to serve everybody promptly.More

Superb food, good service and the "Menu du Marche" is excellent. Fresh product and everything is home made, even the bread. Highly recommended

We went to this restaurant with a group of friends during our weekend around Orpierre- North of Provence. The restaurant is small and nicely decorated. We all had trouble choosing menus as they all had very appetizing dishes. I went for the Menu Laragne (35...Eur) including: brandade de morue with St. Jacques scallops carpaccio; jarret de veau with rissotto; selection of cheeses and Salted caramal macaron for dessert. We were a large group so the service was slightly slow. The food was however excellent, a great choice of wines (and very well priced) and a really nice atmosphere. Highly recommend this place for a nice gastro experience.More
