We are a small Take Away that is big on customer service, quality, taste and value for money. We prepare all orders fresh and from scratch. Sometimes it takes a little longer when we are very busy. We serve only fresh and not frozen fish, grilled or fried, melt in your mouth calamari, crumbed prawns, chips, chicken strips and nuggets, chili cheese balls, mozzarella sticks, onion rings, savoury rice, russians, homemade fish cakes, fresh salads, cooldrinks, hake and calamari burgers and some interesting pickles and other eats. We have a gluten free option on certain products. We have card and Zapper facilities.'

I cannot rave about this place enough! It is undoubtedly the best fish and chips you will ever eat and I would drive 100 miles to get them again.

Exceptional service always, generous portions and something for everyone even if fish is not your thing, they offer salads and chicken and the very best "slap chips " that will make you drive that extra mile because it will make you smile.
Kiddies friendly menu...dont be surprised if they as for more !
They have all sorts of yummy deli foods to make you drool.
Well priced food, your wallet will not feel like it's out drowning on the rough seas without a life jacket
A small parcel for under R60 is enough for 2 people.
We definitely recommend Hake Away's Always

Really good Hake and fries. Batter nice and light. The fries are classic “ slap” chips. The service is great and friendly.
I have had the calamari which is done in strips and a light batter. Would prefer tubes and heads grilled or light pan fried. But still delicious.

We had the most delicious fish and chips that I have had in a long long time! It's a takeaway with a couple of seats inside but we ate outside at a picnic table. The service was friendly and good. I highly recommend it.

did not get the opportunity to taste the food - unfriendly person behind the counter - just said he has no fish showed us that is written on a board - this is just rude - did not offer anything else so we left

The hake was excellent - crunchy batter, soft hake, great taste!
The chips were divine, excellent seasoning! Beware though - the size of the chips container is misleading - it is packed full 'n tight with chips, and a small should satisfy most needs!
A great meal on the beach overlooking Pringle Bay.
The only reason for the missing 5th star - the fish came in a paper packet and not a foamalite punnet as in the photo. It made for messy and oily eating on one's lap.

What a wonderful surprise. Wow, it was the best calamari and hake I have ever had. Melting in the mouth goodness. And the service was also very friendly. We will most Certainly be back for more. Generous portions with the option of grilled fish instead of deep fried.

The family evening take away. Three of us had hake, one calamari, and we all sampled a new item Russian sausage. We found the hake wasn't oily at all, a very pleasant change. The chips were my favourite soft and delicious, with a light sprinkling of paprika. The hake might be a bit on the dry side for some, some tartare sauce needed , if required, I found it just right
