Good news, we are open for business in a new and safe way. With this in mind, we have Opened our eat-in restaurant and also offer Takeaways. Fear not, if you are not a pizza lover, we still have fresh fish, chips, roast chickens, lasagne and salads on offer. We love nothing more than bringing people together over proper food and good wine. Whatsapp us for a menu. Kitchen open hours 5:30pm to 8:00 pm Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Please don’t ever change - we had pizza (Mexican and it was fab) and chicken and salad - all cooked to perfection and very relaxed atmosphere. Loved the way it was run. Def visit again when back in Pringle Bay

Went to Hanging Rock for the first time and have regretted not going here before.
Amazing pizza and fantastic grilled chicken all done on a food fired oven.
The pizza has an incredibly thin base and the toppings are full of flavour.
The dessert is limited but delicious. The service is great and intimate.
They are fully licensed but do charge a corkage if you take your own wine.
Highly recommend for dinner when in Pringle Bay and you need to book

Looking for a relax cosy fresh & handmade dinner location? this is it! don't look further. The owners will welcome you with a smile and the dish will satisfy your hunger :-) They serve excellent pizza and "the best" roasted chicken of the coastline and more fresh, local sourced salads.. Enjoy!

A friend from Betties bay suggested we eat there and what a great experience. The decor and ambience is quirky and ecclectic and the restaurant, although small and cozy, has a really great vibe. It was a Sunday evening and was full, but soon emptied and we were left with just one other table and the owners - allowing for a great chat due to the natural intimacy of the place. Food was really tasty and well prepared - we did not eat pizza, but they smelled and looked really good as they passed by. All in all, a most enjoyable and highly recomended experience - and this from a restaurant owner himself. Well done guys!!

What a pleasure to have found shelter from very stormy weather in this cozy, characterful, family-run restaurant that’s famous for its unique decor and crispy, thin-based pizzas.
The Hanging Rock Kitchen is a treasure trove of special and unique collectibles that have been lovingly brought to roost from all over the world. Every corner of it is interesting, nostalgic and emotive. To top it off, the owners are super friendly, personable and chatty and the food is utterly sensational. We can highly recommend their garlic and feta focaccia to start and any one of their delicious pizzas to follow. The pizza is made from non-GMO flour all the way from die Swartland which is what gives it its lighter than air base, and full bodied flavor. Not to be missed if you are passing through Pringle Bay!

What a wonderful find..
We were just cruising around spending a few days away from our home town of Knysna .
We were getting a bit peckish so looked online for restaurants nearby.
The next thing we were given a friendly welcome and were dished up a delicious meal without a long wait
My wife had the line fish of the day and I had a Hawaiian pizza.
A memorable experience..

What a great evening. Excellent food with the best thin-based pizza I know. Such friendly and helpful service by the owners, they go the extra mile. The eclectic decor adds to the vibe to create a wonderful symbiosis of enjoyable food, service and atmosphere.

I never write a review, but after eating at HRK I had to! The food was exceptional. Honestly the best I have had in Pringle Bay and surroundings. We had a pizza for a starter (nut base) and the posh chicken for mains. I completely over indulged, but it was so worth it

Great little pizza takeaway service. Nothing to much trouble and service with a smile and a friendly 'elbow bump' (at this time of social distancing).
Will visit again, hopefully in more open times - as the food's great.

The Hanging Rock Kitchen is a legend in its own lunchtime! It is a fabulous destination - great menu, great service and a wonderful setting. The owners make you feel like you are a long-lost friend, but not in a syrupy way. The inside decor is a feast for the eyes and the table decor complements it beautifully. The thin-based pizzas are a treat - and they also offer one of the best wine lists around. Well priced and locally sourced.

I had dinner at Hanging Rock Kitchen when I stayed in Pringle Bay for a night.
I was so impressed. The food was wonderful, I had Hake and chips . The hake was pan-fried and was so fresh and the chips were great .Karen was very attentive and made me feel so at home and kept checking on me as I was on my own.Gary also chatted to meand made me feel at home.Both of them were so friendly .The restuarant was full of all sorts of interesting paraphanalia including model aeroplanes on the roof !! I will definately be back.

Yet again, you completely exceeded our expectations with mouth-watering food, wine and ambience! The hosts are simply amazing and this is, dare I say, one of my favourite local restaurants. You pizza is the best in the area.
