Lovely garden setting for a Café and Lauren as host could not be more welcoming. We enjoyed excellent buttered ham and cheese scones accompanied by a good strong coffee. A nice selection of lavender products in the gift shop .

A great place to stop for coffee and scones or muffins. I wished that they did some more lunch type items, perhaps a quiche or panini type things, but even so I would go back. Their scones and muffins were both delicious

Nice cafe and shop - beautiful location! You'd want to like lavender of course! A must stop on the forgotten Highway - and do take this road slowly and enjoy.

I am submitting this review on behalf of my two very good friends Alan and Barbara who stopped here on Thursday morning 2/2/17 on their way ftom New Plymouth to Taupo. Unfortunately poor Alan had been crook since Wellington after eating a dodgy pie from somewhere never to be named! They came across Lauren's Lavender by chance and decided to... More

After driving for a few hours through the winding but nice Forgotten Highway, we were ready for a good Coffee. Thinking we had a few k's to go to get to it, we noticed the sign on the side of the road. Not expecting too much, we were amazed at the beautiful tree lined driveway and beyond that, acres of... Well worth the extra time taken in the opposite direction to our destination. Coffee and scones and standard of the cafe and lavender shop was excellent and super clean.

It is situated in a beautiful setting. We visited while doing our canoe trip so it has access to the river in the back. An ideal location for a thoughtful moment or am insightful conversation along with the pretty scones and exotic Kiwi wine. :)

We called in here this morning and were the first visitors of the day and were made so welcome. We sat in the sun overlooking the lavender and had a cup of tea. Cafe food looked nice but we had just had breakfast. Our host was just lovely and we enjoyed talking and hearing about the district. Lovely little gift... More
