Awesome service, creative idea making a cafe for people to learn how to wait and cook, fantastic food. Will certainly come again!

A late morning snack brought me in for coffee and a muffin. My savoury muffin was bacon, cheese and tomato and came straight from the oven. I sat on a couch with my puzzle book and relaxed. The decor was restful and I was very comfortable. The staff we both quite friendly and competent.

Very well cooked breakfast with generous servings. Eggs cooked to perfection. All reasonably priced and served with a smile. Good place to stop if hungry in Taumaranui.

You have not lived if you didn't stop at this lovely cafe and tried the most awesome banoffe pie, Neenish tart and custard square made on the premises by amazing local baker

Stopped here for breakfast before leaving town as it was close to the hotel. Ordered straightaway and sat down. Only one other customer there. Food and service were both mediocre. It's hard to stuff up bacon and eggs. Realized before leaving that this is a cafe with a religious mission. I would not eat here again.

Labour Weekend Monday 2016. Stopped at The Training Cafe for brunch. Upon ordering 2 x big breakfasts we were told that they had run out of hash browns - really? why didn't they send a staff member to the supermarket to get more? In place of missing hash browns my wife ordered extra creamy mushrooms and changed my order to... More

So went to training cafe and ordered chicken burger and chips. I got curly fries! I never asked for these. Then was told they didn't have normal chips. My partner ordered fish meal. He got a piece of fish that tasted yuk and floury. Over all the food was crap! Never Goin there again!

Passing through and needed dome lunch. We knew it was actually a training cafe but was keen to try. Great lamb sandwich and coffee and the kids enjoyed there hot dogs. Friendly staff.
