After spending the morning at Gwili railway to see Santa, we headed back to the Greyhound to have Sunday Lunch. The service was excellent and food was stunning. To start I had the garlic mushrooms and main was the Pork Belly, my wife had the homemade pate and the Roast Beef, all served with fresh veg. Having tried a different... More

We visited on a Sunday night, it was very quiet, only one other table was occupied in the lounge bar. It was lovely in the lounge bar, cosy with an open fire. There were 6 of us, we ordered drinks and food with the pub manager but we're still waiting for food 3/4 of an hour later. If we hadn't... More

Having just been for a gorgeous walk on the gower coast path, we dropped by the Greyhound for Sunday lunch. We were seated promptly and perused the Christmas menu. He went for pork belly and I had brie, cranberry and hazelnut Wellington - and we had a couple of pints of the local ale. The food arrived really quickly -... More

Well me and my family often come to the greyhound however since its change in management the place has gone down the drain the menu is much shorter and crammed into a short space that is reminiscent of a child's essay the special bored has been cut down significantly and is vague and unhelpful. It is sad to see such... More

Dear Thomasreesuk, Thank you for your review. We would just like to point out during the takeover we implemented an ever so slightly shorter menu to ensure that all the dishes are home made using fresh ingredients prepared to order. There are still 24 main course options on the menu and additional options on the specials boards. Your comments have... More

Highly recommend this place for the open fire and food. Had the corn-fed chicken with truffle sauce and the Thai beef curry. Really really tasty. Best pub grub we have had in a long time. Worth a visit!

Decent pint of beer but The Greyhound was really let down by allowing the locals to hog the bar whilst vaping and talking loudly on inappropriate topics - saying "I'm a racist" in a loud voice is never a good thing and vaping indoors is as vile as smoking indoors, send them outside with the real smokers!

After visiting friends, 4 of us popped in for a drink, Then decided to stay a while and have a meal , The drink prices where slightly higher price than usual , we could have had three rounds in our local instead of two here ,but that is not a problem , the bar aria was typical country pub basic... We went to The Greyhound as a group of 11 for a birthday celebration Sunday lunch and were very pleased. It was busy, with people in the bar, the main eating area and outside, but not unpleasantly so. The staff were friendly and worked hard to serve everyone efficiently. The food was very good but we were caught out by... More

We stopped for lunch and thought we had ordered someting light. However the meal arrived and was substantial. In fact we did not eat again that day. The beers are worth mentioning as they are brewed locally. In fact we returned twice more just to sample the beer.

We have been to the Greyhound on many occasions with friends. A friendly busy pub with outstanding beer. The pork and apple pie sounded great but when it arrived with an anaemic looking separate puff pastry top my heart sank. This was not a pie and I am surprised the Greyhound allowed it. The helpful barman agreed with me. The interior... More
