Came all the way from Northampton to watch Harripaul and have a meal only to find out they cancelled. Very annoying because they advertised it on their Facebook book page. Get your act together.

Found this beautiful little pub by chance, myself, husband and daughter went in for drinks and decided to try the menu for lunch as it sounded yummy and oh my word it did not disappoint we had the homemade curry and it was absolutely amazing,...it was as good if not better than a proper Indian restaurant, (menu was one side Indian and the other side a mixture usual homemade foods found in pubs ) which I can’t wait to go back and try 😍 Such a wonderful place !! Staff where lovely friendly and helpful, lovely decor inside nice and cosy and most importantly very clean toilets.More
If you're looking for a hidden gem in the heart of a local village, the Garibaldi is an absolute must-visit. This charming pub has a warm and inviting ambiance that instantly makes you feel at home. The rustic decor, complete with wooden beams creates the...perfect backdrop for a relaxing evening with friends or family. The staff are friendly and attentive nature adds an extra layer of warmth to the already inviting atmosphere. The Garibaldi offers a delightful mix of classic pub fare and Indian cuisine, and the food is fantastic and great value for money. Vegetarians will be delighted to know that there are plenty of options available and there is a suitable kids menu too. It's a true gem that delivers on every front. The cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and fantastic food selection make it a standout choice for locals and visitors alike. Whether you're in the mood for a comforting pub meal or a flavorful Indian dish, this pub has something to please every palate. Worth a visit!More
I phoned on Wednesday evening to enquire about the menu for the following evening. I was told it was Chilli night and a few choices were mentioned. I requested a booking, which was accepted and when we arrived were told there was no food being...prepared on Thursday. What is the point of accepting bookings? We won’t give them a second chance.More
Great pub, called in for food on Sunday and they where offering a BBQ menu rather than the standard Sunday roast. Food was fantastic and plentiful!! Staff are great, very friendly and attentive.
Great Sunday lunch the beef was more than excellent portion size big good service friendly would recommend this as one of the very best pubs in the area we walk at Cliveden near by so a great place to go afterwards
We came on a warm September evening for the fish and chip van, which I had preordered and paid for. If it hadn’t been for that I’d not have stayed. We sat outside in the astroturf beer garden with a small group of locals who...obviously knew each other and the barmaid, who sat with them. All the tables were filthy with full ashtrays. And plenty of butts on the floor. I ordered a glass of wine that was undrinkable. To their credit they did swap it out without quibble for another but served in the same glass. The food was ok and we ate it straight out of the packaging for hygiene reasons. We left as soon as we could. I couldn’t believe how bad it was so I looked it up online and I think it’s a community run pub. All I can say is I bet none of the community has any hospitality management experience.More
I have gone to the Garibaldi many times especially under the previous owners who always provided a warm welcome and delicious food 7 days a week. Unfortunately under the new management I have to write a very poor review of a so called Sunday roast...and very poor service too. A bit like Fawlty Towers that was filmed around the corner in Bourne End. When I first arrived it took ages for someone to come and ask what we wanted to drink and we were then left for 15 minutes before I had to ask if someone would take my food order. We both went for the large roasts turkey and beef with side vegetables. A couple of locals walk in get drinks and service snd their roasts before us, when our vegetables and roasts arrived they were cold and the meat rare. We had to ask for the meat to be reheated. When I was asked if I wanted another drink they did not have any more Merlot. When our food did come back it was just about edible. We were left for ages after we had finished our mains and had to ask for pudding. The apple pie was reasonable but we had to take our empty pudding plates to the bar as we wanted an Irish coffee and after waiting and no one collecting our empty plates we were then told their coffee machine was not working. Please bear in mind this pub only offers home cooked roasts on a Sunday and the rest of the week they get in out sourced caterers. The so-called land lady did not come around to ask if the food was OK or to welcome new clientele and the pub dog is allowed to roam around and sniff your food. Needless to say we will not be returning but we recommend the Cricketers at Littlewick Green for great service and a fabulous Sunday roast.More
Have had more than several great meals care of The Garibaldi. Even in lockdown, the street-food vans were there for takeaways (and delivery locally) - and when it was allowed, The Garibaldi was supplying excellent drinks. Now in 'Step 2' of 'De-Lockdown', the garden is...open again, serving great food and drink together again. Will be there again soon.More

Sunday Oct 4th they restarted their Sunday roasts and what a delight they are. We both had Lamb followed by Apple crumble and custard and nothing left on the plates Thanks Bobby and Jade, we’ll be back soon Bob and Jill
We went on a Wednesday when the Knead Pizza van is outside. We had pre-ordered our pizzas so got ourselves a table in the garden where there is also a marquee set up to accommodate additional outside tables for the great British summer :-) on...the way in through the one way system we got our drinks and signed into the COVID track and trace book then sat in the garden to enjoy a nice drink and a great pizza. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful and we could take the dog too!More
We returned to The Garibaldi this afternoon; possibly a year or more since our last visit. The changes were encountered were unfortunately disappoints. On our previous visits we enjoyed a welcoming, clean and well decorated good value eatery. Today, however, it felt like we possibly...stepping into someone’s sitting room, where most of the family appeared to be huddled around the fire; with a “noisy” crèche in what was previously a pleasant sunroom/conservatory. We ordered drinks at the bar, a very pleasant lady served us and we asked for the lunch menu. We were presented with laminated copies of the current menu, unfortunately neither were clean, both had beers or similar stains. We decided not to order food and are completely disinclined to return. A very disappointed visit for us both.More
Good home style, tasty Sunday lunch, although we prefer our meat sliced more thinly rather than chunks which made it rather chewy to eat! Nice, friendly service.
