We've been going to Aruba for 20 years, but this is the first time we tried Zeerovers after being referred by both family and friends. Let me just say we went back again before we came home - that's how good it was. Don't go here if you don't love fresh fish, because you NEVER know what fish they will... More

Zeerovers is at the southern end of the island. It was a 30$ taxi ride each way from of Divi resort. The taxi ride was nice allowing us to see that end of the island like passing by the Balashi brewery and the desalination plant. The staff at Zeeovers will call a return taxi for you for a $20 deposit... More

This is a rustic, chill restaurant by the sea. Neat place to eat fried fish, shrimp and assorted sides. As I stated above, the restaurant is very simple as you get to buy the local catch of the day and/or shrimp. You have to be willing to go in and eat fried food with your hands. If you don't mind... I was surprised to see people complain about peeling their own shrimp in the reviews. Guess that is a problem for some, so I thought I'd give you a heads up in the title. We loved this place. You arrive and get to order the catch of the day by weight; there were two types of fish and big shrimp... More

We had 2 pieces of amberjack, 1 red snapper, 12 shripm, 2 pieces of cornbread and 1 piece of tuna for $27 USD. If you've ever had southern American cornbread, this is nothing like that. The cornbread was more like a pancake. However, everything was so amazing. Pro tip: You order your fish and sides from the first window. Fish:... More

Enjoyed the FRESH seafood. Cornbread not good. Sat right on the water. Two ate for $35. 2 lbs fish, 1 lb shrimp, cornbread, fries, plaintains. (YOU skip the cornbread! Not with it). Walked out with 3 t-shirts. CASH ONLY accepted here.

We ate her on three separate occasions as we stayed very close to this restaurant. I had never had sword fish before but it was delicious. I wouldn't recommend drinking her for to long as the price of beer varies depending on how much they feel like taking your money. This happened every single time I bought beers. Paid as... More

So this is a local eatery towards the south end of the island. The fish is whatever they catch that day and served up fresh from ship to plate. Everything is fried. When we were there the catch of the day was Barracuda and it was very good. We added a pound of shrimp, fries, and some corn bread and... More

Zeerovers is a local bar and restaurant situated on the waterfront in the fishermen's town of Savaneta. Here we serve fresh fried fish and shrimps with side orders of fried plantain, french fries, pan bati(local version of cornbread), onions in vinegar and tartarsauce. Everything is served to you in a basket as you sit on the dock overlooking the water as fishermen bring in their catch which in fact could have been your meal if you came a few hours later. That said, this is not a place for fancy dining but rather a place where you are welcomed to kick back, relax and get your hands dirty.
