Working away from home I found this is a light, friendly pub that serve reasonably priced good quality food. The pub shows live football on TV, has a pool table and serves draught Coors lager which is always nice. For starters I had the prawn cocktail and Lincolnshire sausages with mash for main that came with a selection of vegetables,... More

As a regular patron of this pub, it is both refreshing and long overdue that the owners have finally upped their game and secured the services of an experienced management team, in Andy and Jackie. For too long, there has been a damaging absence of leadership, as a succession of temporary managers have come and gone. As a consequence, the... More

This pub is just round the corner, and everytime we visit the staff are welcoming and friendly, dogs are also welcome, which is a great. It's never been too busy, but this makes its a great pub for a chilled drink and chat. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating

Called in while walking in the local area. Was surprised on how busy it was for being where it is. Didn't eat but had couple of drinks. Couple on the table next to us had food and looking at the menu seemed good value and plentiful.

Wonderful staff! Polite, helpful and went the extra mile by coming in early in the morning to make sure my breakfast was ready in time for my early departure.

We were taken here by some friends who lived locally. It didn't look promising because the tables were laid out but empty. Still, undaunted we sat down and ordered our Sunday lunch. Basic menu just on Sundays but we were happy with the choice. The meal arrived and we tgouroughly enjoyed it. We only had one small complaint and that... More

We had been going around and around looking for a hotel to stay in, we came across this place for dinner and found they also offered accommodation. Staff were all really nice, very welcoming. We had a beautiful tea in the pub (more huge English meals which are too much for us Aussies), dinner was delicious. We went to our... More

When previous chef was here food was very good. Since then they have had various others which have tied but not succeeded. We no longer frequent. Pity was one of our favourites.

Well, I like to shop in Sainsbury's and then walk across for a beer. Whatever you want in a pub this has it for me. Good beer selection. Pub food. TVs to show sport, Golf and Tennis and Cricket all on at the same time. A Pool table, couple of fruit machines. Outside areas both front and back with covered... More
