What more can be said about having a typical Austrian schnitzel and beer with the Mountains and Berg Hohenwerfen in the distance. We had a beautiful day so a seat outside was welcome. The food was tasty and well priced with a view that was priceless. Very happy.

On the way down from the ice cave we stopped here and had lunch. The food is fairly good but the atmosphere is unbelievable. Sit outside weather permitting. At least have a beer and strudel. The staff is very friendly, helpful if you need help with the menu. The main menu is in both German and English but I needed... More

After the challenge of the Ice Cave this little place halfway up the mountain provided a much needed respit. Pork schnitzel, skillet Mac and Cheese, and ice cold Stiegel beer combined with gorgeous views made for a fantastic lunch, the best of our trip to Central Europe. If you do the cave then by all means treat yourself here.

We visited the restaurant after we came out of the ice caves and needed warming through. The inside of the restaurant was lovely and warm and the service fast and friendly. The menu is basic food, soups, salads, strudel etc but cooked well, great tasting and good proration size.

kiddie meals, traditional Austrian food at a tourist trap location, but prices and quality of food are top notch. Terrific desert dish: chopped/scrambled pancake with applesauce on the side. Yummy after the long walk up and dowm from the ice cave!

We ordered Roast potatoes with sausage and salad, Austrian-style macaroni and cheese - these were excellent. The hamburger was ok, the fries were excellent.

We stopped for lunch on our way back from the Ice Cave and were glad we did. I got the Austrian style mac & cheese (spaetzle w/ cheese & bacon), my wife got the roast potaoes and sausage and both were delicious. We sat right on the side of the mountain and enjoyed the views of the Alps while we... More

After the ice cave tour, we got hungry ... And what is better than a restaurant with a simple menu of soup, schnitzel, French fries, soft drink and a dessert of apple strudel. No tricks and complications. Sit on the edge of a cliff with spectacular views simply to enjoy ..

As I was very hungry after going to the cave, so I took the complete menu which consists of soup, snitzel with salad and ice cream as dessert. It was a lot for asian person and the time was so limited. But it was delicious snitzel.

The service was excellent and the views were spectacular! We ordered a baked potato and salad (very good!), Austrian mac and cheese (excellent!), wurst (good) and a sandwich(also very good). The restaurant was very cheap in price and well worth the stop.
