Large portions of noodle soup with cabbage, koombacha and various veggies. Make sure to bring yen as it is cash only.

Traditional Japanese noodles, that'll warm you up on a cold day. The broth itself is light, and delicious. Definitely a favourite among the locals. This restaurant is just across the Kawaguchiko station. Come in early and avoid the long line. No need to upload the...More

The serving amount is fabulous. It can keep your energy for the rest of the afternoon. Taste is delicious. We had similar dish in Kyushu, and both are amazing.

Hearty bowl of hand-cut noodles (most similar to udon), with a delicious miso/vegetable broth. Horse meat sashimi is definitely worth a try, tender yet flavourful meat, best paired with their herb mixture. Slightly expensive (¥1080 for noodles) but you are getting massive portions (1.5x normal)...More

Noodle comes with lots of veggie and nice broth. It is served in a big hot bowl. Very warm and comforting. It is simple and can be done at home, miso, noodle and veggie.

Price a but steep as though the serving is large there is not much ingredients to go with the noodles. But feel good to have a large pot of soup on a cold day. Directly opp the train station and have many tables. Good environment.

The fat flat noodles are too thick and fat to my liking but cold soba was great. Fried karaage was awesome!!!

My Japanese friends took me to Hoto Fudo (the one that looks like an igloo). The hoto was so very good and I just wished my stomach was bigger so I could have finished the whole bowl! While each restaurant has the same tasty offerings,...More

Yes I think Hotel Regina is along that same strip with lots of hotels, in which case it's close to the restaurant - within easy walking distance.

Hi KerieMeg, I have not personally been to the United States so I'm not certain where you can purchase houtou noodles. Best bet - head to Japan :)
