This place has so many fans; even as we arrived we were assured by a very happy group of customers that this was the best place in the county to eat. Certainly for carnivores this is a dream; yesterday lamb shanks, beef wellington and roast beef were on the menu and I thoroughly enjoyed my pink roast beef, served with... More

Visited The Queens Head on a mid week evening. Very busy country pub with a very welcoming atmosphere. Excellent service although a little slow but put that down to being a very busy evening. Food was very hot and very tasty will definitely visit again.

A great little village pub serving a fantastic Sunday roast! Well worth trying, not huge so would probably suggest booking. Nice garden for children as well.

A fabulous meal. Excellent Steak Wellingtons and steak dinners with lovely vegetables followed by tasty deserts. Selection and quality of beers, cider super. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Ambience was great. An example of a real busy country establishment.

At last, a wonderful traditional Suffolk pub in the middle of nowhere. We went for sunday lunch and were immediately enchanted by two dogs dozing in armchairs by the fire. The dining areas are quaint and set amongst the heavy timbers and we were perfectly comfortable. The menu was interesting without being too ambitious - not a "jus" or "foam"... More

Always a warm reception when you visit this little pub in the middle of nowhere, for just a drink or fab food. They have there own Pizza ovens, but only open certain days of the week, i can highly recommend these as i don't eat pizza other than theirs! They are renowned for having seasonal menus, game, wild boar etc.My... More

A bit out of the way but worth the effort! Have now been twice with friends for lunch and on both occasions we were not disappointed. Food excellent - chips cooked in beef dripping - naughty but oh so tasty! Service good and very friendly, one of our party was gluten free and was well catered for. Lovely country feel... More

Light lunch with the family. As a previous reviewer mentions there is half a cow (very tender) in the wonderful beef sandwiches. One of our party had the goats cheese starter, which was demolished rapidly. Atmosphere as always was excellent. Several well behaved dogs with their well behaved owners, and of course the wonderful log fire. This is what country... More

We ate at this pub/restaurant last Saturday evening after being recommended by a number of people. We were led to a table in the back part of the restaurant which was situated by the door to the kitchen. This was not a good start as the door was in constant use and squeaked every time on opening and closing also... More
