A great casual spot to get some local Costa Rican food. The Pupusas were filled with various cheese, meat or veggie options and were tasty though not spectacular. The Steak Fajitas were awesome especially with the house-made slaw and hot sauce. The Stand-out here is the service! While we struggled to coherently speak Spanish the server was patient, kind and... We arrived there was nobody there. Then others arrived and they were served right away - food arrived to them shortly thereafter. When we were served the person was not a happy person. Everything seem to much for them. My food was good but the fixings didn't arrive until I was almost finished. The fixings made the dish. It is... More

Lovely service, delicious "Pupusas," a Salvadoran style corn "stuffed pancake" among many other breakfast, lunch and dinner options. As vegetarians, our favorite pupusa was stuffed with "gallo pinto," (dirty rice) and a scrambled egg on top with a side of "natilla," a local version of sour cream, and a fresh cheese and spinach pupusa, both served with two kinds of... I have never heard of pupusas much less tried one. They are fantastic. When I live in Atenas this will be one of my go to places. Lovely open air restaurant with excellent food and drinks. They offer a savory and spicy slaw both of which are great. Very clean, great service and just a nice place to eat. It... More

I come here with my family and we enjoy the pupusas a lot. A great variety to pick from but my favorite is the bean an cheese pupusas. My husband loves the mix pupusas with chicharrón.

This is the best place to go in case you want a real Pupusa. I've tried a lot of pupusas in different places in San José, but this one is by far the best one. Good prices, and excellent food. (try the maduro con queso /sweet plantain with cheese) My favorites are the mixed ones but you can have it... More

My family and I stopped in for dinner one night during our stay in Atenas because we had tried Papusas in the past, and we loved them, so we wanted to try them in Costa Rica! We were very happy with the food here! If you like Papusas, you will love these, they really were amazing! The portions aren't too... More

They do not have a lot on the menu, but what they have they prepare well. The Papusas are the star here as you might guess. My favorite is the double stuffed mixed Papusa with the addition of jalapenos. 2 thumbs up.
