Our Green Devil Tour driver Luis brought us here on a Saturday lunchtime and what a great meal we had. We were the only people in there at 12 but by 1pm it was almost full. Our starters were a very nice tray of hors d'oeuvre and for main we had a choice of Lamb, Pork or Cod with vegetables... More

We visited Cantinho da Serra directly after a long day of hiking. It was completely empty when we came in, but the warm fire place in the guest room and especially the big fire in the wood oven in the kitchen ( which was visible from out table ) gave us a really warm welcome. For starters we took the... More

It is a simple restaurant but with very good food. We got here with our guide and paid 12 Euro pp for a menu including drinks. Really worth the money. The lamb was really great. Service is not really fantastic but it doesn't spoil the eating at all.

After a long walk we stopped for a meal and what a meal! We both had steak on the stone and it was very good! The bread, vegetables, patatos everything was with great care! Perfect place to stop.

Loved, loved, loved this quaint restaurant! It is a bit south of Santana, and just a bit out of the town (5 minute drive); at first glance, it doesn't seem like much, until you walk in. It is a very tight entrance off the road, with minimal signage. We travelled as a group of 4, and one of our group... More

Going up the hill, turning up near the gas station, you will find this nice restaurant. Mostly used by locals, attentive service and traditional Portuguese/Madeira dishes. Specialities are cooked on the wood oven. We got the Cabrito (lamb/kid) and was delicious, enough for three. Wine pairing great, ended up paying around 50Eur for two with starters, bottled water, bottle of... More

Came across this delightful restaurant by chance whilst looking for somewhere for a light lunch. The tapas and soup were both excellent. Would very much like to return for dinner on another occasion.

You get a lot of good homemade food for the price. The service was good, especially when we were the only one in the restaurant. Thats probably because we ate before ordinary dinner time. It's a good thing that they have open the whole day.

Not easy to find this restaurant in Santana, here locals rather than tourists. The restaurant look like an house in a garden with a parking, diffucult to see from the road but it worth to find it, it was our best north local food in Madeira. All is slowly cook in a special traditional oven. After a selection of 8 starters... More
