Whilst the 4 "children" 40 to 34 years old, were doing their thing at Stormsrivier, me and the wife went for breakfast at Marilyns. AND WE MET ROSY !!!!!!!!!!! Next day there were 6 of us. Had a blast of a breakfast and milkshakes. Food...excellent and I cannot remember any breakfast in the past being photograph so many times from so many angles. Best chicken strips ever. Absolutely brilliantly themed restaurant - different and fun. Excellent and friendly service. Burgers not that great, but forgiven simply because of the experience. Definitely worth trying once, and possibly worth going back for the milkshakes and desserts.

We were there Feb 7 for lunch - there were maybe 10 other customers there? The place wasn't busy, but the four of waited a good 10 mins before anyone came to take our order. service. Had a burger - pretty average overall. Was also...pink in the middle, so didn't finish. Big plate of onion rings but they were soft and mealy - not hot and crispy out of the fryer. You come across some waiting staff and they just get it. A bit of banter, a cheeky joke, an infectious laugh. Meet Rosy. She's a superb member of the waiting team. Humouring the fat old man from the UK, this lady was right one her...game. Classic cocktail? No problem! The best to eat? Rosy had a view! Good at her job? You betcha. And NO she has not paid me to write this homage to Rosy. The food was very good. Not excellent as a little cold and the onion rings weren't the best but the actual chicken burger and cheese burger served, were in fairness close to perfection with lots to admire. We went away happy and smiley... and that is down to Rosy, who is the best of the best. Just ask for Rosy. The rest will just happen. Enjoy. PS and big tick for not asking in a high pitched voice "any sauces".More

Really enjoyed the food. We had a hamburger, chicken salad and chile con carne, everything was delicious. The service was great. The cocktail were wonderful and at a great price. Also just a cool place with a good atmosphere

Service was really good. We were in a rush to have some lunch and get to our zipwire so only had 25 minutes to order, eat and pay and the staff made this happen! The food filled us up but wasn't the best. Chicken strips...were good but the chips weren't so good. Ham and cheese toasted sandwich did the job!More

The best chicken strips I’ve ever had! Yummy milkshakes. Big portions and quality food! You’ll be happy you stopped. Very local so great lunch stop on your way up or down the Garden Route.

I ordered the chicken soup which was too salty and made with added rice (and potato?). I didn't enjoy or eat it but it was still charged to our account. It's the first time ever I haven't eaten a meal I've ordered and was very...disappointed that I had to pay for it. Our party of 11 other friends enjoyed their meals. And the salted caramel milkshake was one of the best I've ever had.More

Lovely theme in the diner, very old school with everything Marilyn Monroe and Elvis, hot cars, milkshakes and good food. Being vegetarian myself I am often limited at restaurants but my husband loves their hamburgers and what's not to love about sharing a plate of...fresh fries and the best milkshakes in the Cape! It is a pity that they close so early in the afternoon since Covid-19... One would have liked to sit down to a lovely supper there as well and not having to go elsewhere for a good meal. Like so many places in Tsitsikamma, very friendly and helpful staff, always eager to please.More
