For an authentic stay in a boutique Tuscany village (Casale Mmo) I highly recommend this family style farmhouse. Genuine simple breakfast to get your day started and very beautiful old-style rooms.

We are booking this restaurant every time we come to Cassale - for every evening! The view, the personal attitude, traditional cuisine and fresh local vegetables, bread, meat... are always the standard. After the years we are coming back, me and my husband can say,...that we had almost everything on the menu! 😁 And are always looking forward for carefully chosen everydays special menu. From vegetarian cutter to Fiorentina - everything is fresh and prepared with heart and professionality. We travelled many places, but La Mucca Gioiosa stays on the top of our restaurant rating! Go there and try one of the best desserts on earth - homemade truffles with their own delicious olive oil. Ask for omelette with cheese for breakfast (if you are used to continental breakfast). I was excited before dining at the restaurant. Unfortunately, half of the meals I had were without flavor and completely uninteresting. The vegetarian balls and the vegetarian burger were absolutely unsatisfactory and completely lacking flavor. Which is surprising considering the locally sourced fresh and organic...ingredients used. The dessert was quite interesting but overdecorated. I am happy that I decided to have another dinner there, because their pasta was a great meal, especially the home made one. I would normally give three stars for this kind of a 50/50 experience, but because this is a Bib restaurant, I believe they should do better.More
