This is just one of those places that makes you happy to be alive.
Very close to Michelin-star quality but not there, just, and the 'compensation' for that comes in the form of the most picture-perfect setting and out of this world value for money. The service was impeccable too.
The terrace outside looks like something out of a movie set, it's that beautiful. The daily menu, at 25 euros for a 3 course meal, and 6 euros per glass of wine, is just laughably good value. There are more expensive menus too, and an a la carte option, which are also good value.
Couldn't fault it, it was that good. Lucky you if you're heading that way!

We had a fantastic lunch in the most wonderful setting of Le Clos Mirande. Set on top of a valley over looking the vineyards of Montagne. Food & service are exquisite, 3 of us had the set lunch which was delicious. All washed down with a really good Rosé. We had our 3 year old twins and 16year old niece with who all had scrummy chicken & chips which the kitchen kindly made for them as there is no children's menu per se. After lunch we wondered down to the edge of the garden to watch the grape pickers in action.
I don't know why this restaurant isn't a Michelin * , it's only a matter of time.... GORGEOUS.

Had high expectations when we walked in beautiful setting and views however the food didn’t taste as good as it looked. Overall quite bland and disappointing based on the price. Staff were polite and helpful.

The evening at the Mirande Closing will be my best memory of visiting the Saint-Emilion sector: The view from the terrace is extraordinary, the meal tasty and the service attentive. Perfect evening!

We've had a delicious lunch here, with a lovely view over the vineyards. Waiters are super nice, food is really good and very nice displayed on your plate. Beautiful garden where you can enjoy your lunch / dinner.
We've got it recommended by the host of our gîte, clos vieux rochers. Definitely would advise you to go here too.
Daily menu (3 courses) is 25 euro. Chefs menu (3 courses) is 38 euro. With two we spend 86 euro.

We were here again and it's like every year. The owners are so nice that we've become friends over the years. The waiter is also the same and knows what we want. But the most important thing is that the food, which is prepared by the chef himself, is of the highest quality.
What we also like is that you can choose a lunch menu for a low budget or you can top it up with delicacies which of course cost more. We will always plan this place as a must on our trip to the south!

We are visiting the region and it was a bit by chance that we came.... And we absolutely did not regret it. The flavors are very balanced, the cooking is excellent. The meal was light enough for one evening which we really appreciated.

Had a lovely evening in this splendid intimate restaurant. The wine list as you might expect was extensive with some good value wines and the food was creative - i really enjoyed my smoked sturgeon dish as a starter and the pigeon was plump and tasty and I finish up with a rum baba unlike any I'd ever had but really enjoyed it. Unfortunately it was a wet evening so we were unable to make the most of the views but from indoors I feel sure the view great. The service was perfect -- friendly, informative and prompt. An ideal place for an informal meal with friends.
