Thursday evening session. 30 minutes prior to session start, the bar was near empty. However, start of session the place was rammed. A good mix of 4 fiddlers, accordion, 2 guitars, whistle, part time mandolin, tenor banjo and me the moothie. Very slick jigs, reels, some marches. Great open friendly session. Thursday evening is pizza van night at the Suie. I shall be back. Many thanks for a great evening from the Suiebplayers, staff, locals and fellow visitors. Slainte, Ian

Erik had drinks here on October 11, 2019. The atmosphere is warm an inviting. I was the only American in the place, but everyone was extremely friendly. Spent a lot of time chatting with a variety of different people. It was a really fun and interesting experience. The prices are quite reasonable. I look forward to stopping by in August. If you are in the area stop in, you will be glad you did.

Some of the freshest pints going and fantastic vibes and energy. Lovely spot for a post mountain/walk pint. 10/10 would recommend.

This is a friendly small bar that looks like it has recently been refurbished. Everyone was friendly and chatty. There is room to sit outside in good weather. There is a nice selection of gins and the beer is very good.

We had read some reviews online about the Suie Bar and the live music night they have every Thursday. We arrived around 7:30 to get a drink and take a seat and was quickly joined by one of the landlords who came over to chat to us about who we were, what we're doing and tell us about the bar and how it came in to existence. After a few more pints, he came over and asked if we had eaten, now we had eaten at the Bridge and at the time of writing this the Suie bar did not serve food. He asked us as a few people in the pub were ordering an Indian takeaway. This was a lovely gesture and made us feel part of the local community. When the live music started it was a good range of traditional Irish & Scottish music, that make you want get up and start dancing. Our plan for the evening was to leave our car at the pub (we were staying at Dalraddy campsite about 3 miles away) and walk back..Due to the local taxi company wanting to charge ÂŁ15 for a taxi for 3 miles!! However, the lovely landlord came up to us once again and offered to take us back in his London Black Cab for free! It was a wonderful night where we were made to feel welcome and at home. Thank you Suie Bar!

We'd had a long day of travelling from the Isle of Lewis - and a week without a pub, which we'd quite enjoyed. However, there comes a time when you just want to sit in a pub with a good pint and chill from a long day. The Suie was just what we needed. The Friday night music was a little bit loud tho' it did remind me how much I like Tracy Chapman.

Mike and Wendy have taken a well desired step back from running the Suie bar and have leased the bar to Alan and Sharron Cairns who have invested a great deal of time and money in transforming the bar from what had existed for over twenty years and bring the bar into the 21st century. They have appointed Katie as the Bar Manager and she listens intently to constructive ideas as to how the Suie can move forward offering up to three hand pulled beers in excellent order and a full range ot keg bees, lager and cider / Guiness. Come along and experience a great pub environment.
