Staying in the area and wanted to support a local business. Very disappointed, menu limited to toastie, soup or mussels. Pub not very clean and felt uncomfortable in it. Lady behind the bar not very friendly or welcoming. Will not be back

This cosy pub is a favorite spot on the Beara. Regular Pub grub but always a friendly welcome from the locals.

We've been here two times, very lovely pub. It's a bit small, but the owners are really friendly. Limited menu, but everything is homemade and very very good. Especially the seafood chowder, you have to try it when you're here. Lucy the dog, will keep...you company if you like. I would definitely recommend this place.More

Nothing special but we had a decent pint and lunch. The only pub in town. Might have been a bad day for them but it wasn’t a particularly friendly spot. Food was ok

We stopped here while driving the loop road. Service was very friendly and efficient. The food was simple, hot, fresh, and tasty. The menu was limited but exactly what one would expect – mainly soup and sandwiches. The hot tea was lovely on a chilly...day.More

Absolutely love coming here when we stay in Ardgroom. The owners are so friendly, food is amazing, fresh and tasty. Dogs are friendly too. Live music regularly and a real community feel.

Lively place to eat. Good food (try the local mussels), friendly atmosphere. But which is better, Murphys or Guinness? The jury is out.

As you would expect in an area jutting into the Atlantic, the seafood is really fresh, open sandwhiches served on homemade bread. Three generations of the family enjoyed an excellent lunch in this lovely village pub.

The Village Inn is a wonderful pub. It was the perfect ending to a great day hiking the Beard Way. Service was friendly and the food delicious. As another reviewer already said "the Fish and Chips are a don't miss." We rounded our meal off...with a wonderful chocolate cake and a great cup of Irish Coffee. Highly recommended.More

Stopped for coffee on the road to Kenmare. The inside was gorgeous - all in solid wood, with a wide selection of drinks and beers on tap. Wish I could have been in for a couple pints some evening.

Our group of six enjoyed the fish and chips at Village Inn - the batter for the fish was light and not greasy at all. Ann Marie is the talented and hardworking owner and what a treat to meet her. The hot chocolate was also...very good. Here are our rankings of all the places we enjoyed during our trip: Man Friday, Kinsale Josie's, Glanmore Lake Village Inn, Ardgroom Boathouse, Dromquinna Bistro, EyeriesMore
