Off the man path, but not really, we stopped here while driving the peninsula. We sat at the bar, and the next three hours were fantastic. No, we weren’t drunk🤣. The Bartender was so friendly, the locals were so nice and we never felt like...we didn’t belong. This was a family place and I loved this the most. The restaurant portion I learned is operated by a woman. I believe she rents the space. Not sure, but she was super nice and we laughed with here a bit. (Dinner/Food starts at 6p; they do breakfast here too in the back dining area) Lobster and salmon, new friends from the UK and locals alike, I still remember our short time here the most. This was the pub I had hope to find in Ireland. I hope to find it again one day. Be patient while traveling and at small town places. They don’t normally do big volume. Two people making dinner for a lot of people takes time and that’s a great thing. If you don’t have time, no worries, eat at a larger establishment after your visit here.More
This is a very unique part of the world and this is a unique place right on the bay. Very welcoming and you get a warm and cosy feel the minute you step in. Many of the clientele will be ag caint as Gaelge and...you will be surprised at how much of your school day Irish will come back to you so that you can join in the conversation. Magical. OK, the food here is not going to be stellar or spectacular but what you will get is good, decent, honest food that you will enjoy in good surroundings. And you will go back again, that is for sure!More
The two wait staff were more interested in talking to each other than in acknowledging our presence at the bar. When we eventually got to ask about food, we were told to come back at 1.00 pm. When we returned we were told that in...fact food wouldn't be available until 6 pm. There was no apology or simple courtesy.More
Tired to dine at Tigh T.P. in Ballydavid, but were unable to get anyone to wait on us. Tried to order a cocktail at the bar, but was informed they only served beer and wine because their bartender had gone back to college. There were...lots of folks sitting outside with drinks, and it looked lively, but it was a no go for dining or table service.More
This is in a beautiful location. There is an abundance of outdoor seating. Staff and great and the atmosphere is great. Food is ok.
Appalling service - avoid unless you enjoy waiting at grimy tables with illegible menus for food that never arrives while seeing people who ordered after you being served their food.
Called in Tuesday (July 11th) lunchtime and was told by barman that we couldn't order at the bar but to grab a table (outside) and waitress would take our order. I counted 7 tables occupied outside and 1 inside. 20 minutes waiting and still no...sign of order being taken. Approached waitress (who was very polite) and advised that our order would be taken shortly. Waited another 20 minutes, still no order taken. Never seen anything like the lack of organisation in this place..........a shambles.More
Just awful. The food here was so bad, even our hungry kids would not eat was was served up. The nuggets were just awful. Frozen cheap rubbish that looked like it was cooked and reheated. The service was pretty awful too, with staff behind the...bar clearly uninterested. We had a fish chowder that was dreadful and very overpriced.More
Food was average in quality. Chips are frozen and overcooked. In fact all of the food was from frozen and extremely overpriced. 18 euro for an overcooked burger. 29 euro for a small steak, some dry chips and undressed salad. Scampi for 18 euro. Very...unimaginative plating. The waitress was flustered and had no clue what she was doingMore
5 tigh tp has lovely staff. Friendly owner, and great views . we've been going to ballydavid for 23 years..and each time, we love it..the beach is amazing too and great walks
Fabulous food, not only worth visiting, one not to miss! Very friendly staff and beautiful surroundings. Will definitely
Welcoming warm and pleasant Pub to visit after walking all day. The food was fresh - fish and chips were the best I have ever had. Love the atmosphere and feeling like you were part of the community - exact opposite of eating at a...chain restaurant.More
This hidden little gem is located 15 minutes outside of Dingle in Ballydavid. The food is fantastic and lots of choices to choose from. It's a beautiful ride and some great views to look at while you eat.
Uninspiring bar, unenfsging Barman, food run separate - took ages to get a food order - menu uninspiring - expensive for both drink & food - Main good thing was the scenery!
