I and my friends have eaten here more than ten times. All the dishes we ate were delicious. Marija and her husband are very friendly and hospitality. They have a farm so they serve homemade meat, cheese, eggs,...
I was staying at her hotel. The rooms are nice and clean. I had a very good breakfast.
I rocommend to everyone who love homeliness.

Taverna Perama Maria is the best place where you can eat in Karpathos. The owners Maria and Stammatis are really nice and friendly and Maria is the best chef. Here you can taste the real Greak food, daily fresh and homemade. Not to mention that portions are really big😎 We spent 14days in Karpathos and we ate here 11days. So all I can say is thank you Maria and Stammatis!

We spent 14 days in Karpathos and Taverna Perama Maria was one of our favourite spot. Not just because of the most delicious food but also because of the owners-Maria and Stammatis. They made us feel like home. But Maria’s food was far better then food at home. Because everything you eat there is product from their farm and you can really taste it. I have never eat better Moussaka in Greece like Maria’s. So I would recommend this taverna to everyone who want’s to try authentic greek food made with love and care.

In a cafe, they are lured by shouts from the cafe, saying that everything is fresh, BUT in fact, all the seafood was frozen. Since I am a cook, I understand the taste and color of products after defrosting and this is unacceptable, they do not use spices at all, only salt and lemon. in general, we did not like absolutely everything !!! Learn to cook!

I ordered a traditional greek food, stifado. it was very poor in taste, served with a tasteless rice and french fries. The cook (Maria) said that it is how the tourists prefer to eat. My opinion is that she doesn't know the recipe since she is not Greek. I wasted time and money there

I ate 3 times at taverna Perama Maria, twice the lamb and once the fresh fish.
Maria is an incredible traditional Greek chef and Michele is a farmer producing everything by himself for the taverna, from the tomato to the meet.
The best restaurant in the island for us!

Lovely taverna that serves some of the best traditional dishes the Greek kitchen has to offer. Maria cooks daily dishes and Stamatis tends to the tables. Very warm and accommodating atmosphere. Delicious food and fair prices. Don’t miss out!

We had dinner here several times. The food was always perfect, and the service was great. We tried most of the restaurants in the vecinity but always came back here.
The friendlynes of the proprieetors,the perfectly cooked meals and the relaxed setting made this our restaurant of choice.

Fresh food, warm and kind service, great atmosphire.

Very basic food. Boiled vegetables where too cooked and the same for the rice.
Okay he fish might have been fresh but it was totally tasteless.

What a wonderful and authentic place! Food was delicious, portions so big we barely finished them. Also super friendly and honest service. Can't recommend enough to try their lamb stew. Will definitely come back again.

Dinner with family. Plates for everyone. Generous portions, informal Place. Leftiko Lamb superb and pork cooked in the Oven too. Paputsakia excellent. I really recommend It!
