Called here for to look at the beautiful seaview whilst enjoying a carafe of wine, from the road this place looks more like a beach taverna but what a lovely suprise.
The seafront tables were sheltered by a very clean glass screen which made our visit very comfortable.
The house white wine was one of the best we have tasted in the area and the service was perfect.
After taking a look at the menu we couldn't resist trying the mussels in a wine sauce, these were biggest juiciest we have eaten for a long time and had to ask for extra bread to enjoy the delicious sauce.
Fillet beef with pepper and bernaise sauce was our 2nd course, brilliant steak with chips and a lovely sauce, the only possible disappointment was no roasted veg with the dish which we may ask for an extra on our next visit.
We will be back soon !!

The food is made to savour! Homemade moussaka, fresh fish and the best lemon sorbet - it’s all delicious. We spent a relaxed evening chatting, laughing and eating, and it was so good - we went back again. The sunsets are a beautiful backdrop and the sound of the waves just adds to the atmosphere.
Definitely recommend.

Wonderful attentive staff, and win win.
We have free transfer and sunbeds staying at the Rimondi Grand Resort 😀
Definitely visit this beautiful beach restaurant if you're in the Rethymnon area of Crete ❤️

Twice we (my wife and I) with different friends have been here with two not so good evenings. We were invited again today and decided to try once more. Hmm
Briefly, our first visit over a month ago they got our order wrong and only got one sea bass between two, instead of one fish each, plus I got sodden feet from an overflow pipe no apology. Second time the service was bad, long waits which we are used to in Crete but not that long. Along with a risotto which was rice with gravy.
So third visit on a Sunday. One drinks waiter and one waiter for a busy lunchtime didn’t bode well. But service from Mikalis was prompt, drinks ordered and came, starters ordered and came, main course, disaster, one meal wrong, so one person had no food, again sea bass, 40 mins later still no sea bass and no apology for the problem, nor offer of a free drink like other tavernas. It arrived, no apology, the bill arrived, all dishes charged for. Complaint to manageress, she lifted the price of the sea bass, no apology. Pay the bill and waited over half an hour for it to be collected and raki brought, the fruit fifteen mins later.
I cannot say anymore. Avoid!

We went the first day they had opened up for the season. Which was was told many times!!
We was give a menu to share (others got one each)
Waiter Spilt water on me and the table not a issue we put it down to nerves (would of be nice if he had cleaned it up though)
Drinks took a long time to arrive coke came in the bottle no glass offered or straw, others were given glasses/ice
When we ordered a second bottle again just given the bottle husband had to ask for a glass.
Family behind us, all had their food apart from one, after a very long wait (more than 30 minutes) asked where the food was to be told chef didn’t have the right tomatoes.
The front of house let these place down massively. We got to the point we just wanted our food and leave.
Some tables they were all over give them basic things like salt and pepper we didn’t even get offered and anything you did ask for you waited ages for.
Bill had extra drinks on there
Food wise looked, tasted amazing the smell when put in front of you made you feel hungry.
Pricing your sitting right on the beach so you pay right on the beach price.
I would if preferred to go else where and saved my money. Portion sizes not great okay but definitely had better value for money. This was the only restaurant we went to when we was away and wish we hadn’t.
Hopefully they will get better, food lovely front of house poor.

Service so slow that even after asking to order our main course several times we were still left waiting for 10 mins. The glass of cold white wine was warm by the time we got our main course. Food ok but overpriced and they need some training in providing a customer service that will encourage visitors to return. We will not be going there again.

This restaurant is in the most stunning location. Right on the sea looking down onto a little beach. The interior and terrace are really beautiful and the location really lends itself to a glass of wine or beer on the terrace watching the sun go down. We visited for dinner and were certainly not disappointed. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was excellent. The restaurant is about half an hour from the centre of Rethymnon and if you are staying there it's certainly worth a trip.

What a dinner!
You have to sit down before sunset to enjoy the rays that caress the sea from the restaurant terrace.
The service is professional and relaxed, just the way we like it! We are welcomed with a carafe of Raki and olives.
We all enjoyed ourselves in this exceptional setting: the Tzaziki was excellent, the sea bass were perfectly grilled, the desserts sublime.

This restaurant has some of the best service I have seen. We went on our last night of our holiday and the food was very nice, as well as very nice cocktails with our meal. The restaurant offered complimentary sorbet to our dessert which was a nice touch. The views of the sunset were also very impressive with the sea washing up near the side of the restaurant. I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant, as the meal is very worth the money. Each member of staff was friendly and informative, happy to answer any questions we had about the menu or the restaurant in general. 10/10.

We visited on the last night of our holiday as a special treat and we were not disappointed. Warmly welcomed by Kostas we had an amazing view of the sunset while enjoying the delicious menu. The food was incredible, fresh fish and delightful sauces, our meals were a feast for the eyes and the stomach. We enjoyed three courses e and a bottle of wine (and a cheeky cocktail) as well as a complimentary fruit platter. Waiter service was excellent and the setting and the vibe of the restaurant was second to none. My partner had the catch of the day - red snapper - which was filleted at the table by the waiter making it all the more impressive. I had the salmon linguine and I can honestly say it was the best salmon I’ve tasted. Starters were shrimp and homemade lettuce wraps - both incredible. For dessert we shared the strawberry soup with ice cream an amazing invention that I definitely want to try and recreate at home. All in all a special treat with the best service and 10/10 food. Thanks to all. If you’re in the area I would definitely recommend you try this place out.

Absolutely incredible from online booking the day before to the staff, food and the drink. This is absolutely fantastic and I cant recommend it more!
We had the soup on arrival, shared 2 starters (squid and meatballs) and then all had steaks (cooked to perfection). We shared a bottle of white wine and had a couple of gins with dessert. Everything was incredible and the staff couldn’t do enough. If you are in the area then I would definitely say this is must!!

What a wonderful dining experience. Right on the ocean where you can watch the sun go down with a truly Greek feel to your meal. We ended up eating here 3 times in the week we visited it was so good (once for dinner as a family with our two small children, once as a couple and once for lunch as a family). The staff are great. Simon was our waiter and he was brilliant, particularly with our two toddlers! Can't recommend this place enough, great food and diverse menu! Recommend the shrimp saganaki!

We went to this lovely restaurant to celebrate 2 years of marriage. All I can say about is over 5*. The fact that they are offering you a soup at the beginning and free of charge means a lot. And is so tasty. We had some starters and they were done in less the 10 minutes and as main we had a t bone steak and linguini with smoked salmon. My goodness the taste was another level. This restaurant is a must and the service too. The waiter was there all the time in case you need your glass to be refilled and very responsive. I would highly recommend to anyone passing by to stop there and enjoy " the secret of a real taste ".

Best restaurant during our stay
Magnificent setting by the sea and chic romantic decor
Very attentive service and extraordinarily friendly waiters...the waiter prepares your fish before your eyes! We thought we were in a starred restaurant
I recommend the sea bass and the smoked salmon penne, a treat
They also offer you little things for the aperitif and for the dessert in addition
Their generosity equals their kindness
Not to be missed if you are in the area

The best restaurant by the sea in the Rethymno area! The restaurant offers a special view, being located right on the seashore. Fresh food, the staff is professional and responds quickly to customer requests. A special waiter is Ani from Albania. Very positive and energetic and his services are impeccable.
