This restaurant offers by far the best fish and sea food we have tried during out stay in Tenerife. I do not understand how is it possible that it is not higher on the list in Trip advisor. The chief and waiters are local and they do understand their job. We ate there twice and both times we were very... More

My wife & I decided to look for a traditional Seafood Paella as this was our first time in Tenerife. My wife had the Garlic Mushrooms and I had the Avacado & prawn for starters & the Seafood Paella for 2 (26 Euro for the Paella). Paella was enough for 3 and was fantastic. I took 25 mins to cook... I sat at my table looking out of little the wooden windows over the harbour as the last light of the day settle into the night. I watched the waiters lay tables with care and trouble. Onto perfect table cloths were carefully placed polished glasses and cutlery. Then the candle and finally a small posy of roses. I watched as... More

Visited this restaurant for a meal for two. Bread and garlic butter before our mains. I had seabass and grapes and wasn’t sure of the combination until i tried it and it was amazing. Seabass cooked to perfection with a rich sauce and grapes. My girlfriend has ‘steak on a stick’ i think it was, she was happy enough with... More

This is a really good place if you are looking for fresh fish! The service is perfect and the Cherne (local fish) was amazing!!

Very nice paella (must pre-order), served by friendly staff, who recommended a nice wine. We made the mistake of ordering generous starters, which were very nice, but not really necessary due to the size of the paella.

We have enjoyed Avencio's restaurants from the early days in his back street "cave", his ill-advised move to the premises over SuperDino, and in recent years his seafront location on the pedestrian paseo. Throughout, the welcome and menu have remained authentically Canarian. Sadly his present location is on a paseo that attracts vagrants, pseudo "musicians" and dog owning dopeheads, many... More

This is a lovely place with a charming interior. Lots of marine odds & bobs add to the charm. I had the steamed mussels with bread and wasn't disappointed with the huge portion. My husband had fish which he rated top notch. I finished with the tiramisu which was very creamy and boozey! Gorgeous. We chose a crianza Tempranillo wine... More

We had been told by a friend who lives en El Medano that this was the very best local fish restaurant. Haven't yet tried others, but Avencio is definitely over the top! The place is cozy and pictoresque, just on the rocks with the waves out of the windows; it's warm and comfortable and, notwithstanding the (extremely tidy and clean)... More

We had dinner here for the fish. It was pretty good - an interesting fish menu and a few non-fish items. The restaurant was charming with a lovely view of the sea, if it isn't dark!
