We ate here a couple of times during our stay at Hotel Porto Ligia. This is the first Taverna on the quayside. Initial impression was good, nice location and waiter friendly. Very reasonable prices, fried red mullet was great value but felt it had been fried too long. Maybe should have asked for it grilled. We had a single portion... More

Potentially this should have been idyllic, right by the water's edge on a lovely evening. However although my husband asked for his fish filletted it came full of bones and with just an unappetising huge mound of spinach. My fish platter was ok but there as nothing else with it at all, no veg or salad or even a few... More

I was here two years ago with my husband and this tavern stick in my memory as one of the best on Lefkada. Sorry to say that this year I haven't got the same experience.Although the fish is still fresh, and the ambient charming, the service was slow and the food wasn't so tasty and presentable as before.I had good time but... Very nice romantic atmosphere by the sea with a view. Lovely traditional decoration, efficient personal, good service and quality of food. Very tasty fresh grilled octopus and fish. Watermelon as a compliment and wonderful local liquor. We tried other tavernas in the area but this one was the best. Would like to come again when in Lefkada

Everything we tried was fantastic. Unbelievably fresh and tasty. We had a village salad, tyrokafteri, kolokithokeftedes, grilled octapus and a 700gr sea bream. The fish was the best we tried on the island. Really fresh and nicely cooked, and the octapus was very tasty and not chewy at all. The staff could have been a bit more friendly overall but... More

We come and sit to a table! They moved us and told that is reserved! Ok no prob event that the table has no sign to be reserved! We gave the order an wait, and wait! Nothing! After one hour all the tables that come after us were already served! We called the man that took the order! "Wait" !... More

It is popular belief that if a restaurant in full, the food is great and worth while the experience. Well, I'm not so sure... We saw this tavern and we thought that it would be a nice place to eat by the sea. We were wrong! The owner was very rude to us when we reminded him that we waited... More

Good quality fish food by the sea. The owner and staff are friendly; they speak many languages and are really polite. The food was nice, although a bit expensive for Greek standards.

The food was terrible. We went with two families to eat there for an anniversary and we ate swordfish. It is not the money but the quality of the food. It tastes good but after 5 hours we all wanted to vomit and after a lot of suffering we vomited and this lasted for 1 day. Be cautious when choosing... More

My husband and I have been to this Taverna for many years and we have never been disappointed with the food. This is a simple tavern on the water of the picturesque, little fishing port of Lygia. The staff is courteous and friendly and the food comes out promptly. The owner is always there making sure that everything goes well... More
