The other dishes are very good if you don't feeling cocido.. We went here as part of our tour, place is full with travellers. The service was good and swift. I wasn't really sure about eating cocido, yes it's a typical local dish, cooked at caldeiras, which is unique, but I'm not big in stews, so we opted for pork... More

Had the cream tuna which was awesome! A signature dish for this area and it was delicious. Nice atmosphere and friendly. The food here is good especially the the bread.

Our tour guide booked us the lunch where your food is cooked in the pot immersed into the ground for 6 hours and heated by the volcano. If you book ahead, you can go to the site and the ground is labelled with your pot. Staff remove the pots, load them on a van and drive quickly to the restaurant.... More

A good place to eat typical food cooked in the "furnas", it is not modern place, it lacks innovation, the food is good and served in good portion, it is a good place to eat and go, not a place that deserves a detour.

We visited this restaurant to try typical Cozido dish. Restaurant is quite small but very cozy. Typical Azulejos on the wall, nice staff and very tasty and affordable Cozido are the great value of this place. Cozido cost 26€ for 4 servings.

The red meat was pretty dry. They are not alone in this regard. We visited many restaurants in Lisbon and Ponta Delgada and we found that the Portuguese in general do not know how to cook red meat. Everything is too dry and too salty. It will be safer to just eat fish. As for the cozido, try it but... More

Cozido was good, escalopes de frango was great, Tony steak was awesome! Must stop when in Furnas. Tons of food at an affordable price.

Been here due to a local tip but I didnt enjoy it at all. I alredy have eaten Cozido das Furnas in other places and this is the worst so far. The quality of the meat and the other ingredients is poor, the flavour is poor, the bread is nothing special to what i have eaten so far but the... More

If you can, try to sit outside on the upper deck. Nice view from there. This was the first cozido we tried and we both enjoyed it - but make sure you're hungry because there's way too much food. Complimented by a vino verde, as suggested by our friendly server (not her fault the service was a bit slow because... More

We stopped for lunch at Tonys after watching them pull the pots of stew out of the ground and touring Terra Nostra gardens. The stew was unique and worth trying. We enjoyed it with a bottle of Rose. Good times!
