Sun, sea, sand beach and a good restaurant with good food. What more could you ask for. Nice to just sit and relax, looking out over the water and eat well. Maybe take a swim after dinner?

First of all, I like cats. But when I go to a restaurant I don't expect them persistently jumping on our table and trying to eat from our plates. However at this place there were about a dozen cats doing exactly this, with the staff (two local small town boys) doing little to nothing about it, despite our polite complaints.... More

Not something you find easily but absolutely worth the effort. Located on the south side of Falasarna beach, Captain Nikolas is all you can wish for in authentic good Greek cuisine. I had red peppers with garlic (my favourite) and fried aubergines and courgettes as my first course, followed by grilled scampi with lemon and garlic. To die for. Go... More

Literally one step away from the sand, they have tables on the beach if you want. Friendly staff and the food was very tasty. I tried the fresh grilled shrimps that were lovely, but my boyfriend's swordfish was divine. This is what I expect from a Greek taverna, a bit away from the busiest restaurants.

We have visited this seaside taverna several times and have always received a warm welcome and an enjoyable meal. Excellent location and beautiful views of mountains and sunset.

Everything was perfect, superb delicious and very fresh. The setting was like a filmset, only it was completely natural! The beach, the abandoned boat on the beach, the seats and tables in the sand (we sat on the balcony in the shade). True Cretan hospitality; amazing! We were lead to the kitchen to pick our Tsipoura (Sea Bream) that was... More

Nice and traditional place nearby the little port. I recommend fish as it is very fresh and the owners of the restaurant catch it personally. I am Italian and snob food person but I really recommend the grilled cuttlefish and squids cooked in red wine. They are delicious. Cool having dinner on a table set on the beach at the... More

We came by and got enthralled by the beautiful view over the ocean and knowing that the sun would set in less than 1 hour, we decided to have dinner at Captain Nikolas. The had fried anchovies and grilled sardines. Lovely and fresh. The taziki and the Greek salad was also very good and the kids enjoyed the fried zucchini... More

Definitely good! We had a royal snapper of 2,5kg for the whole of us: the fish was fresh, well cooked and nicely served, the waiters very kind and nice. Only a little bit expensive........

The owner was really nice. We had a delicious dunner with fresh seafood. It was a bit cold at night end of june. So bring a vest.
