Having five nights to spend in Praslin, we needed a couple of choices other than the wonderful Lauriers buffet. This is just a hut on the roadside, but after reading here we gave it a try. Unfortunately, I regret my choice. We knew about the rustic place, tiny, sandy floor and so, but we expected nice food and low prices.... More

The place is located on the side of the road, I must say it's pretty unique not only for the furniture but for the whole atmosphere. They also sell fresh fruits, so if you pass by remember to stop. The food is good and fresh, portions are huge. I must say I am not too fond of Creole cuisine but... More

We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel manager,we were picked up and returned to our hotel and upon arriving were somewhat taken aback by the surroundings. The restaurant is basic, basically a wooden hut without windows and a sandy floor and simple table and chairs, not a good start, but then we ordered our meal and this is where the restaurant showed its... We went there on a Monday. There were only 3 dishes to choose from. The restaurant was rather empty. The food quality and the service were ok,

the most dinner options in Anse Volbert are rather pricey and not very authentic. Lakaz is reasonably priced (for Praslin standards), and very authentic. They usually have only a few dinner options: grilled fish, prawns or chicken. Everything I tasted there was well prepared from fresh ingredients and tasty. Especially their mango salad, which is a typical Seychellois side dish,... More

Had a delightful delicious lunch at reasonable price. Most restaurants on the island are expensive and you have to look long and hard for a restaurant with local flavour. Casual rustic and well worth it.

Very good food, great location, very suggestive! It was suggested by our friend Pierre from Villas D'Or, price is very competitive for Anse Volbert location.

We came across this place based on a recommendation from the manager of our hotel and boy were we glad we ate there. It's not a fancy place if you are looking for that instead it is a small family run hotel that serves up some very tasty, homemade Creole food. The lady of the house is the cook and... More

I went with my husband on a rainy night to have dinner here. They brought a towel for us to dry ourselves to make us comfortable. The restaurant is very basic, all with natural materials, no bricks nor cement, a comfy hut would probably be the best way to describe it. The food was delicious, portions were large, and the... This gem of a place was recommended by one of the girls at Octopus Divers. For 300 Rps, we ate like kings. Such good value for money considering the often ripoff prices that abound on the islands. We had a selection of tasty creole dishes laid before us, with a cool SeyBrew (beer) to wash it all down. The setting... More
