My husband and I ate here for lunch. The food was okay but not great-much like any other restaurant we ate at on Praslin. Nothing fantastic, but nice service and decent prices. I had the chicken curry, and the chicken was a bit dry. My husband had a fish steak that was a bit undercooked.

On the seaside road little outside of the village, located this wonderful restaurant. Food is great with cheap prices compared with the rest of the restaurants in the area. I am not a fish lover but I loved all the fish dishes that they have. We went twice there and we had a great time. Stuff are very friendly and... More

We had dinner at La Goulue twice and enjoyed it a lot. They serve the best octopus curry we tried in Seychelles, and the whole grilled parrot fish was divine. Prices are very reasonable. Food is excellent. On our second night, service was quite slow, but the place was full so we were glad to get a table at all.... More

La Goulue is on the road across from Anse Volbert and as such provides an ideal location for either lunch or a latter meal after a day of basking in the Sun. The food is reasonably priced and there is a selection of either local cuisine or world dishes. Unlike some restaurants on the island alcohol is reasonably priced. A... More

Service was quite good as was the food. Their menu is pretty standard for the Seychelles - a lot of curries, fish and chips etc. Menu is the same for lunch and supper. I would recommend it more for lunch.

After the very unpleasant experience at another recommended Praslin Island restaurant the night before, we were very pleased with our experience at La Goulue. The hostess was wonderfully friendly, told us about the various dishes, suggested various options, and the food was served quickly, priced very reasonably, and was delicious! It was the best meal we've had here in the... More

Grilled whole fishes (parrot fish) were delicious. But we would avoid grilled fish-fille, which were quite dry. The staff were friendly. But the service was little slow because of lack of staff.

Food delicious with promises of fruit bat curry "next time". I stuck with chicken curry which was very good. Staff friendly, more of an outside cafe atmosphere over the road from the beach.

Good creole cuisine, fresh fish, very friendly service. The restaurant is not on the beach, but the atmosfere is pleasant anyway. We absolutely loved the prawns a' la provencale, and the octopus curry. The icecream was very good as well. Good quality for money, and they accept rupees, euros or credit cards.

The best curry I had anywhere in the Seychelles (spent ten days honeymooning and island jumping) was right here in La Goulue. Not being a huge fish eater, I had the chicken one. It was delicious, complex, spicy, mouth-watering excellent. If I go back to the Seychelles, I will put in a visit to Praslin island just to taste this... More
