Lovely atmospheric pub in the lovely village of Hollingbourne. Great welcome from the staff. We started with the Lebanese sharing platter which was absolutely delicious and very generous firctwonpeople, followed by fillet steak and guinea fowl. Will be back fir sure. Well done to everyone...More

We decided to go to the restaurant after driving through the really lovely village previously for my partners birthday. I had booked in advance so was surprised to be on a table for 4, when there was only two of us, but that was not...More

Living locally, we have eaten here many times over the years. However, the last time we came (2 years ago) the food was bland and boring, and the service - though friendly - was slow. We came back with friends and are pleased that it...More

Family lunchtime meal with 10 of us. Staff were excellent and particularly charming towards our 1 year old grandson. Food was hot, prompt and really nice quality. If there is any criticism from us, the sides seemed a bit dear. Bread with a starter is...More

We called in here for a Sunday lunch. It was very busy and there was a good atmosphere. We were seated promptly and our drinks order taken. We ordered a roast lunch each: beef and pork. The meat was beautifully cooked and absolutely delicious. The...More

Not been here before, very busy and quite noisy but I don't mind that. Drinks were good other than the Mojito which weren't described as very good by those drinking them. Food was nice - ordered bread and olives to start but had to ask...More

This was a family dinner. The menu was interesting and varied, the service exceptional, the food expensive but nicely done. The accordionist was average and somewhat annoying. The car park crowded and tight.

Yes, options on the menu. Also let the team know when you telephone and book. They are only too happy to help and make suggestions.

Theres nothing taboo about good food, so The Dirty Habit pub restaurant in Hollingbourne near Maidstone is perhaps misleadingly named. Of course the name actually refers to the origins of this historic building on the famed Pilgrims Way, close to the North Downs and dating back to the 11th century, The Dirty Habit started life as a brewery owned and run by monks who also allowed weary travellers to rest here as they made their way to Canterbury. Gloriously characterful, The Dirty Habit maintains features from throughout the intervening years, including cosy fireplaces and ovens, gnarly old beams and a long Georgian oak bar too. From the comfy Monks Corner to the beautifully refurbished terrace, theres a space to suit your occasion. While the bar serves a wide range of beers, ales and spirits, as well as a good wine list, the food menu caters for all tastes and budgets, The Dirty Habits award winning chef using locally sourced produce in dishes ranging from traditional British pub grub to more exotic offerings.
