My partner's youngest daughter has just started studying at Canterbury Uni. We came to Minnis Bay for a walk along the beach with our young dog too. Minnis Bay Bar and Brasserie is conveniently positioned on the promenade right next to a public car park. After our walk we sat outside under cover to enjoy some well cooked fish n chips.... More

Popped in for a drink during the half term! Gorgeous autumn sunshine - lovely coffee and lovely fat chips. Not been to this bay for about 35 years so great to revisit

Thought i'd pop in for a quick coffee with my family whilst walking along Minnis bay. Pretty much the same experience from my last visit a year or so ago. Only ordered 2 Coffees and 2 children's hot Chocolates-20 mins?!? Coffee was warm, Hot Chocolate was like gloop! Outside tables left uncleared, not the best impression. I overheard a conversation... We faced our Saturday evening meal with trepidation as we had gone in after a beach walk earlier for tea and scones. Tea was fine; scones were the hardest I have ever had and a long time coming at that !! Evening meal was good and served very pleasantly by a young, enthusiastic man keen to please. The restaurant was... More

We went to the Minnis Bay last year when it was under different management and it was wonderful. We took some friends and family and had a fabulous meal. My husband actually had fresh lobster which was divine. I had seafood pasta and all was good. However, we went back there on Saturday night. Very concerned that the car park... More

My wife and I recently went to the Minnis Bay Bar & Brasserie for breakfast. I had read mixed reviews, so I was apprehensive about going (as there were other places to go to). We did not make any reservation, but where greeted by friendly staff and shown to a table. The restaurant’s was clean and comfortable, although the decor... More

Popped in for lunch. Decided to have fish and chips, they were delivered and looked ok,but, the chips were cold. Sent all back. They were replaced, but, the fish was very greasy and the chips were a little warmer. The pea puree had a cryst so not actually fresh. We did order a pot of tea, that was drunk whilst we were waiting... More

We had walked from Reculver on a beautiful day so it was good to find somewhere to sit and eat outside. The menu was typical pub food - fish and chips, scampi and chips, pie mash and veg., sandwiches etc. There were more expensive options, which might have been more exciting. I chose scampi and chips and my husband had... More
