Between the sushi, the canapés, the salads and the humongous paella, all on the beach, it was hard to leave

Great venue for lunch. The sushi is wonderful. Enjoy a local beer and watch the waves gently roll in......

We were staying at a guesthouse, not far from this beach and beach bar. So the plan was to have lunch there and visit the beach. We took the car and just before arrival were stopped by a big white guarded gate. Looking like a...resort of some sort. The not very helpfull gate person asked us what we wanted to do, and I answered that we wanted to have lunch at the beach bar and visit the beach. He said we needed a reservation and could not enter unless we were staying at the hotel over near the beach. He then told me the beach bar was full, which seems very strange during the off season with little to no tourists on the island. Then he said we could perhaps eat at the fancy expensive other restaurant next to the beach bar. We turned around went to a different beach on the other side of Praslin. I've read that there are no beaches claimed by hotels or resorts in the Seychelles. This seamed to be an exception... Very dissapointing.More
