Love everything about this delightful bakery with a positive energy vibe. The decor feels arty-French, and the cakes, pastries, homemade quiches (the portobello tart ) taste as good as they look. The kouign-Amanda? These little pillows of buttery sweetness are worth putting any weight-watching goals temporarily aside. And if they’re not running around with a myriad of tasks, Fran & Jeff are engaging and genuine.

Went for a good coffee and ended up buying sandwiches Turkey Brie cranberry sandwiches for lunch which were amazing! Couldn’t resist having a couple of pastries as well. Have had their crepes in the past. Everything is delicious! They have freezers full of takeaway food as well. Expensive but if you consider the price of restaurants and treat it as such it is well worth it.

Discovered this gem in a small strip mall when out for lunch with friends. There is a wide selection of sweet or savoury crepes , sandwiches and pastries to choose from. The crepes were absolutely amazing - the best I have ever had. For dessert there is a large display of delicate pastries , tarts and cheesecake to choose from. Impossible decision! Many in the group purchased special treats to take home. There is also a large section of frozen pies, pot pies and quiche for purchase. Definitely will be recommending to everyone.

We bought some variety croissants from them the day after New Year’s. They were stiff and not fresh at all. As the they were closed on New Year’s Day these are at least 2 days old. I’ve been there another time and one of the the small deserts on display had green mold on it. When things are freshly made it’s good as well as cakes. But it’s a hit or miss. I agree with the other reviewers saying customer service is rude.

Terrible customer service! Would not recommend ordering from here. The owner was very rude when brought up on her stores mistake.
We called in to place an order for a 9 inch cheese cake for a 21st birthday. When the cake was picked up and brought home it was looking a little small for a 9 inch cake so we decided to take a measurement it was just above 7 inches. The store took forever to call back regarding this issue and when we finally got through to the owner she was extremely rude and arguing with us that our cake was fine and then proceeded to hang up mid conversation. Attached is the photo that shows it was way to small.

In Kanata, I have found some of the tastiest Vietnamese Subs that I ever had anywhere in Ottawa! During the early days of the Pandemic my wife discovered what I could only describe as this hidden gem in a small strip mall on the edge of the high tech district of Kanata. They are located at Shared Kitchen Space, 101 Schneider Rd Unit 4, in Kanata, Ontario. It is not the only item that they serve; but so far their Saigon Special has been my favourite! We have not been confined to just subs; but continue expand their choices. We are hoping to try some of their Vietnamese Snacks, Banh Mi Trays and more of their Special Dishes. Low quality pastries with high prices.
Purchased Tiramisu cake, Raspberry Lemon tart and Almond chocolate croissant. After eating one bite, we did not want to try the second bite.

All my Mum wanted for her birthday was a black forest cake, and on a glowing recommendation from a coworker, I placed an order with La Maison du Kouign-Amann.
The staff was friendly and polite, my order was ready on time, and the cake was absolutely beautiful. I was extremely satisfied, and the cake was received as "one of the best black forest cakes" she had ever eaten. We have unanimously chosen this as our 'go-to' place for future cakes.
(While waiting in line, I also got taken in by the lemon tarts in the display case. I didn't plan on walking out with a bunch of them, but I'm glad I did - because the box was empty before I knew it. They were delicious - a crisp crust and tasty filling that wasn't too sweet and not too tart. I can't wait to go back and try out some of their other baked goods!)

This bakery has the most delicious little treats and cakes, we go there when we need a little pick me up and of course birthdays, it is a bit pricey I must admit, but it has a taste of Europe.

Great service and very good sandwiches and cakes. It's located in a quieter part of Kanata. Maybe not the easiest place to get to by public transportation. I haven't tried the crapes.

We had coffee and a pastry. Coffee was not great and pastry was over priced, for a croissant. They do display there fares well, but they are too pricey.
