Welcome to My Thai Village Restaurant Step into My Thai Village and experience the delicious flavors of traditional Thai dishes prepared freshly by our experienced chefs. My Thai Village is located in the heart of Richmond town and now with another location in the Kanata area. We are just 10 to 15 minutes away from Stittsville, and Barrhaven. Thai food is spicy and rich with exotic fine herbs that will melt your taste buds. Third time we've ordered out from this restaurant, all big party sized orders. Food is consistently excellent. There are much better known Thai restaurants in the area, but the food from this place is easily as good as any. And for a bonus, the people who run the place and serve customers are genuinely very friendly and service oriented..

Best Restaurant In The City!

I go often to My Thai village, this is the best Thai food in all of Ottawa. The owner and the staff are professional, attentive, genuine and ensure everyone has a delicious meal. The cuisine is authentic, tasteful and the portions are perfect. This restaurant is fantastic for date nights, eating with friends and family. I love this restaurant, thank you My Thai Village for all the great times I've had over the years.

Best Thai Food in Ottawa

Quality, Service, Consistency, well priced, Outstanding Every. Single. Time 10/10 Highly recommend their Pad Thai, Coconut Soup, Mango Salad, Rice Wraps, and anything else off their menu (these are our faves)

Excellent food and customer service

Let me start by saying the restaurant is very clean and the staff were welcoming and treated us like we were appreciated. My husband and I both ordered the shrimp spring rolls and pad thai. We both thoroughly enjoyed the food, but I couldn't finish mine as they were very generous on the amount of food we received. During our meal they refilled our water and asked if everything was OK. Great customer service. I haven't had Pad Thai that good in a long time and next time I'm in Kanata I will definitely be back to enjoy the food again.

Atrocious service

Food is fine, service is horrible. Here we are in the middle of a pandemic. My wife ordered an hour in advance went to pick up the order, not ready! Order not even paced. Wife has to wait 20 minutes to half an hour as god knows who comes and goes. We take exceptional precautions and this establishment screws up like this! Unacceptable. Not even an apology. These idiots don’t seem to have a clue. Look for other restaurants would be my advice.

Delicious, timely, and POSITIVE -- even on Christmas Eve!

This was our first visit (take-out) but certainly won't be our last! Our previous favourite Ottawa Thai place was a drive across the city, but this is in the west end, where we live. It not only equalled the flavours, but is also less expensive! We arrived 25 minutes after ordering, and as they promised, the three dishes were ready and still hot when we got home. In addition, this was Christmas Eve, when so many places were closed. The vibe was professional and efficient, and most appreciated!

Delicious great service

Today we were celebrating a birthday. Ordered stir fry, drunken noodles, mango salad and couple of curries. Curries were thick and creamy. We found in the past a bit thin but was pleasantly surprised with the flavour and richness. Highly recommend. Service has always been fast and pleasant. Would recommend. Mango salad was best we have had. Full of colour and flavor

Great lunch spot!

'My Thai Village' has become our Go-To spot for lunch when we're wanting Thai food and we've been going pretty regularly the last couple of years. It's a small place on Hazeldean Rd. in Kanata. The people who run it are very pleasant and friendly. It's low key, the prices are reasonable and the food is great. I tend to order the Chicken Pad Thai and Hubby is fond of the Red Chicken Curry. The restaurant closes between 2:30 and 4:30 to prepare for dinner and they do a brisk take out business too. Go! We highly recommend it!

Good tasting food, but tiny amounts of meat

We got two entrees for dinner (Skip the Dishes), beef pad thai and chicken curry. Both had very tiny amounts of meat in them. The food tasted good otherwise, but the lack of meat in these dishes was a big disappointment. I would be reluctant to order here again.

Awesome Place!!

Again the chef killed it!! Chicken, noodles, medium spice!! What did I get ? Unknown. Chicken surprise. Awesome food again. Keep up the good work. Service and food is GREAT!!

Not the best take out

A little disappointed in the quality of the fare given the price paid. Paid a premium to include shrimp that wasn’t all that fresh. Pad Thai Portion was overloaded with noodles. $38.00 for 2 take out entrees- actual amount charged wAs higher than what was in their menu

The restaurant has a really nice vibe, super clean, nice decor, and the man who served us was so sweet! Food was also very nicely plated and tasty :) We had a great time!

Close But Not Quite There

Went for dinner. The tom yum soup was rather bland. Pad Thai had very little meat & rather sweet without the flavour of the preserved veg that's usually in the mix. The stir fry basil beef was tough & a little too salty. The green curry was watery instead of the thick stew that is expected with very little meat in it. The best dish was the crispy chicken in a spicy sweet & sour sauce. Overall portions are small & the flavour rather bland. The menu is small.

Best new Thai restaurant

This was the third time we have ordered from this restaurant, the food has always been good. We normally get the Pad Thai which I like because it is not as sweet as some of the other restraints, the curry is very tasty but it could have more meat in the dish. The spring rolls were tasty as well.

Boring and over-priced

My husband and I have eaten at My Thai Village twice. The first time we ordered from the Richmond location by accident, but today we ordered from the Kanata location hoping it would be better. It was not. The pad thai was so boring and dry and almost all noodles. It didn't have much of a flavour at all. His curry (both times) was soupy and bland. Reading other's reviews, I agree that I'd rather eat at a fast food thai place; they're less expensive and actually taste better! If you're looking for good Thai food in Kanata, I recommend Sabai Thai Cuisine, and Bangkok Buri in Centrum was surprisingly good! I wish these restaurants were in Kanata South instead of My Thai Village :(
