Loved this gift shop. Lots of authentic Irish clothing and art gallery upstairs. The aren jumpers are beautiful. Hand made locally from the aren isles..we bought several things from there. Upstairs there is an art gallery with many different sized pieces of which I bought two The restaurant was excellent. I had the seafood chowder which I had wanted to... More

When travelling around Ireland on our motorbike, the rear tire was cut open by a small stone a short distance from Glynsk House. Not only was my pillion rider fetched without any questions asked from where I had to drop her, so I could roll back to Glynsk House. I was given all assistance needed to temporarily fix the tire.... Although not much attracted from the external appearance of the restaurant (appearing to us too touristic), my husband and I decided to eat at 'Glynsk House': it was mentioned by a famous travellers' Guide and it was too late to wander searching for another place. The place inside turned out to be nice, though, to our impression, lacking of some... More

Thank you for your review I am sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your meal. Was any of our staff made aware of this? We could have offered you something else. We hope that you would reconsider visiting us if you are ever in Connemara again. More

We visited recently and had dinner. Service was good. I ordered the fisherman's platter. This consisted of smoked salmon, fresh salmon, prawns, few mussels and two very small crab claws and some cod. I enjoyed the salmon and prawns but found the crab claws tasteless. The potato salad and coleslaw that accompanied the platter was very good. My other half... More

We often go to Glynsk House for a meal and/or a drink. Really lovely place with great staff, food and service. Sometimes has music in the evening with dancing. Very popular with local people and always a great welcome

My husband and I came across this little gem - not only was the food fantastic but the gracious owner allowed us into the gift shop outside of normal hours to save us coming back the next day. Beautiful people, beautiful restaurant in a breathtaking location - five stars is not enough for this establishment.

When I first stumbled upon this pub after walking from our cottage in the light rain and strong Atlantic Connemara wind, the first thing that struck me was the warmth of not only the turf burning stove but the friendly welcome from the staff who made me feel right at home. The place was full with families, tourists and local people,... More
