Excellent choice to have a real mexican delicious breakfast. The motuleños eggs very well served. The picaditas (veracruz style) are perfect. Good prize for the excellent food. Better and regional than places like El Manatí.

I was GRANDPAcking in Bacalar for 7 nights and tried several different restaurants in all price ranges. The Cocina Orizaba is on Calle 7 between Calle 24 & 26. You can get a good meal here for MXP45-60. I tried their Poc Chuc for MXP60. There were 10 tacos in the basket … there was so much food that I... More

Orizaba's is the place to go for an excellent breakfast or lunch. It's a family run business that's been serving consistently good food for years.

This is a real no-frills place, with good food at great prices! Popular with backpackers and locals. Great location right by the Zocalo (main square), and lots of love and attention goes in to the food. Unfortunately, they only serve Coca-Cola, but we between order and our food we usually had time to go down the street and get beers... More

This place is popular both by tourists and locals and I know why: they have one of the most amazing tacos that we tried in Mexico. Super cheap and right in the main square!

We always stop in here at least twice on each visit to Bacalar. Great breakfast foods done quickly. Omelets galore. Fresh regional fruit juices. Toast and /or fresh tacos. You don't go away hungry! Very inexpensive with lots of local flavor.

Good cheap local food. Meal of the day for 55 pesos was lots of food. They have a their own oven and make beautiful buns onsite. Hand made tortillas to accompany your meal. Not open in the evening.

We ordered poc chuc pork cooked each a different way. The meal came with soup, rice, beans, and the ever-present tortilla. Yay, tortillas... The meal was very good. The pork was tender. The salsa was just spicy enough. The soup and beans were also done well. All we had in to cut the pork with was a butterknife, but honestly... More
