If you haven't experienced the art of preparing and presenting superb dining by Chef Alfredo, you are missing out. He has proven to be superior with all entrees and desserts that melt in your mouth. Try his lasagna with spinach and you will return for...more. The Moussaka he prepares is par none. Every single dessert is divine...order a few to delight your taste buds. Ithaka is so delicious I could eat there every night of the week.More

Although the restaurant is quite flexible on its menu, we loved the beringela we had along with a genuine uruguayan craft beer. A great nice way to break the routine during a weekend in Maldonado. The staff is super supportive and everything went very smoothly....My wife got delighted with the distinct deserts she tried and surely enjoyed. This is very well located restaurant whenever you want to escape from the main crowded spots of Punta del Este without any regrets. Definitely a place to keep as one of your "favorites".More

Place is very small, only 5 tables so better to book if possible. They offer some cocktails from which we tried two (mojito and gin citric) and they were nicely made. Then we had empanaditas de osobuco and a small pizza as starters; both of...them nice although the empanaditas really rocked. They were really good.Pizza's dough was neutral, pre-cooked and standard;toppings were nice. For the main dishes we went for the "lasagna de carne" and "moussaka de cordero". Great options, felt like grandma's cuisine. The only down-side to the experience was their wine menu, which is terribly short and options are not the best. Their fanciest bottle goes for 460 pesos and its a pinot noir. Overall, we had a great dinner, the service was truly good and attentive. Will surely come back.More

At first look, Ithaka is just a small house-like restaurant, but as you get inside you can see it's unique style. Ithaka is a great place to go with your family, or girl, or friends... Is great for everyone indeed. Doesn't have place for a...big crowd, however it's just stands to the fact that everyone there will be carefully attended. The prices are not cheap, but of course no "punta expensive" either. Now, when it comes to the food, Ithaka is one of the best places in the whole town to eat. Go and you won't regret!More
