Dining at Pitzock is definitely a must if you are in Val di Funes. We came for dinner (a family of five with three children) and had a wonderful experience. The chef -and owner- Oskar with his wife Ingrid offer a superb menu based on local products and/or Slow Food presidia. I had a pumpkin "capuccino" that was unforgettable and... More

Fantastic restaurant with great service. The food was very fine and well made and boasted with flavours and local ingredients. Furthermore, I was impressed with how the chef himself would come down and explain each dish he served us. Not the cheapest restaurant, but definitely worth the money. Highly recommend.

We stayed the night in St Magdalena and reserved here for my husbands birthday with two of our teenage children. The atmosphere is trendy and welcoming and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. THe food was delicious and interesting because they are members of the slow food movement and so all the food was in season. The chef came... More

We stop here after viewing the Dolomites from a nearby hilltop. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we had a nice coffee before heading on our way. The premises was old fro. The outside but very modern when you stepped inside. Wifi is only available inside the bar.

We popped in without a reservation on the last opening night before the Pitzock closed for a holiday. They sat us upstairs and the wait staff was very helpful in assisting us select our meals, by explaining in English what each was. The chef didn't speak English, but we understood all the food was local if available locally, and it... More

In an area of typically rather dull Austro-Italian eating places it was great to come across this terrific little restaurant, where the food was exceptional. As vegetarians it was a bit hard to find menus with non-meat choices, but Pitzock did us proud with their locally-sourced ingredients, Slow Food ethic, and really creative menu. The pasta courses were very interesting... More

We had a very relaxing dinner with two sons. The place was not crowdy and we had enough space for the children. We were expecting something above average since the restaurant is quite well known. And it deserves the good reputation. Excellent service, the waitress was very kind and friendly. The chef came to explain what the food we ordered... More

Practically every restaurant is closed, certainly in this season. Not Pitzock to our luck. After a visit in 2011 with the UNISG, the renewed experience herewas 100% oke. The passion for slowfood presidia is turned into a delight on the plate. Brillenschaf, rice, mandarini, we enjoyed it all to the max. One remark: don't keep the white wine to cold......... More
