The owner was really unfriendly and rude. Make an unnecessary comment to my friend about her taste. Plus the food was industrial and not homemade, and the desert was supposed to be a moelleux au chocolat but turnout to be brownie!!!! cherry on the top...was the price 28 EUR for the most disgusting manufactured food in France!!!!More

We had a good 26euro set dinner here. Well presented food. The blonde’s guinea fowl was very good, my salmon a bit over cooked for me - but perfect for her. Delicious dessert. House rose by carafe best avoided. If you got this meal in...a traditional bistro you’d think you’d struck gold. It’s odd getting it in this modern environment, but it seems primarily set up for French families. Welcomes cyclists.More

We dropped in for lunch on the way back to our campsite. From the outside it looks like many typical roadside french restaurants, on the inside it is obviously more upmarket. The menu is on a chalk board and stand that was brought to our...table. The staff who very quickly realised our french was limited fetched one of the chiefs who talked us through the menu and took our order. The choices on The menu were to numerous to list but there was something for all tastes and cooked with a french twist. The food was superb both in presentation and in taste. If you are in the area you must go there. The plate du jour is €26.00 and worth every cent.More

Had lunch here with my family including two children aged 10 and 14. Unpretentious atmosphere in a sort of modern artistic decor. Lots of tables inside and when the weather would allow it an outside terrace as well. We had not reserved a table before...hand so we felt lucky as we saw guests kept turning up. We all had a 3-course meal, only my wife and I with a 1/2 bottle red wine to go with the lamb (Gigot) at a total price of € 17,90! The children were € 12,90. Amounting to a total bill of not more than € 74,- with 2 apertifs and soda for the kids. The dishes were not huge portioned but the were all nice prepared and hence according to price no disapointement. Is recommandable for the quich small appetite.More

I was on my way back to Blois looking for a quick dinner when I spotted this restaurant from the road. So I parked my car and entered the restaurant. The first impression was not the best. I didn't like the decor at all. It...was one big white room with red plastic chairs. There was only other guest in that big hall. I was not expecting much to be honest, but the food was excellent. Simple cooking, very tasty, good price. I had Tete deVau as main course and I would definitely come back for one more. At the end the food won over the decorMore

I recently dined at Les Secrets with my wife and two-year-old son, on a recommendation from our B&B. Easy to find, a little way out of town it felt homely and popular, packed with tourists and locals. We did not reserve, but arrived just after...the kitchen opened (around 1900) - much later and it may be necessary to organise something in advance during high season. The menu was solid, with good local cooking that prioritised taste over pretentiousness, and a welcome lack of choice. The hake with linguine was excellent. With a restless, slightly over-tired toddler, an outdoors table with easy access to a little play area was a godsend, and kept him occupied while we waited for the food. The only slightly criticism I would have was that service, will amiable and polite, was a little slow, but this is to be expected when the place was full. The icing on the cake was that the restaurant hung on to a pullover I had left there, and posted it back to me - over and above the call of duty! All in all, an excellent experience that I would thoroughly recommend.More
