They are back on an ancient and well worn street and filled with mostly happy local customers. This is the type of tiny and modest neighborhood restaurant where there is a strong bond between passionate patrons and highly skilled staff. For the quality and style of food, the prices are very fair. The wine list is short but well chosen.... More

This is an excellent restaurant just one street back from the restaurants along the quay. The décor is modern, the tables quite well-spaced and the service good. We chose the three-course menu which was excellent, washed down with a bottle of delicious wine from the slopes of Gien. For the quality of food offered, prices are very moderate. Thoroughly recommended.

Recommended by our local doctor we also checked T/A and found it highly rated - it's not hard to see why. This small restaurant set back in a side street just back from the Loire river is well known to locals and nearly always full so be sure to book in advance. Service polite, prompt and discreet but very friendly.... More

Very good cooking of often unusual dishes and served in an unusually attentive way for medium-expensive prices.

This was recommended to us by French friends with a holiday home nearby - they were right! Owned and run by a charming young couple, husband in the kitchen, wife runs the front of house. We ate here on a Friday evening and the following Wednesday and they were full on both occasions, it's not hard to see why. Amuse... More

We were in gien for the day and stopped here for lunch. We both had the menu of the day and we were really happy with it. All 3 dishes were presented well and tasted great, our son also enjoyed the food. Plus a great selection of local wines. Highly recommended.

We went to this restaurant because of all the good comments on tripadvisor. We expected no great things, because during our walk in Gien, this was rather a boring city with only a few (questionable) restaurants. I search trip advisor on my phone and discovered this address, had some luck with finding a table (we went early) and it was... More

We visited twice here recently and had an excellent meal both times. The menu is limited and do not expect a gastronomic experience but the welcome and the quality of the produce makes this little restaurant a must if you are in Gien. Booking is essential.
